In the recent war, Russia seems to have achieved a clear advantage, while Ukraine faces a serious challenge. However, on the other side of this war, the Russian Aerospace Forces have suffered a series of rare losses, why exactly?
After understanding, I found a shocking piece of information: a US Air Force F-35 fighter jet simulated an attack on the Crimean bridge while on a mission in Romania. The purpose of the operation was not only to target the Crimean bridge and the Black Sea Fleet base, but more importantly, to find out the exact location of the radar, air defense and electronic warfare systems deployed by Russia near the bridge. When performing their tasks, American fighters were supported by data from the Ukrainian air defense and radar forces......
This piece of information drew my attention to the F-35 fighter. Its role on the battlefield seems to be far greater than we think. The F-35A is equipped with an AN APG-81 radar that can track 150 targets at a range of 80 km, and even up to 280 km when searching for the air. In addition, it is equipped with advanced electronic warfare systems and optoelectronic distributed aperture systems, as well as fast fiber optic networks and data fusion algorithms, which allow it to have excellent situational awareness on the battlefield.
Singapore's defense minister has described the F-35 as a "radio vacuum cleaner", meaning that it can collect all the electronic signals at its disposal. This capability allows it to provide vital intelligence support to the Ukrainian army on the battlefield, allowing Ukraine to receive information about the Russian army's radar and air defense systems in the first place.
What is even more surprising is that Ukraine has a unique geographical advantage, which allows NATO and the United States F-35 to conduct close reconnaissance around it and provide important intelligence support to Ukraine. This strategic cooperation has left Russia with a weakened air superiority.
Despite Russia's air superiority, their situation has become more difficult with the involvement of the F-35. Faced with this situation, Russia does not seem to have found an effective countermeasure. They can only continue to endure losses, trying to defuse NATO's peripheral support through numerical superiority.
Personally, I put forward an immature proposal: we can consider using the air-launched decoy shells provided by the US military to Ukraine earlier to decoy the reconnaissance of the F-35A. Although this decoy shell is mainly used to deceive air defense systems, can it be modified to deceive the radar of the F-35A? Of course, this requires further research and practice.
At this challenging time, we need to continue to explore innovative strategies to provide more effective support to Ukraine's resistance. Victory in this war does not depend only on firepower and equipment, but also on intelligence support and strategic wisdom.
