As a classic work of Taoist philosophy, Tao Te Ching, with its profound philosophy and unique wisdom, reveals the most essential and true side of the universe for us. Among them, "out of sight, the name is Yi; If you don't hear it, your name is Xi; I can't fight, the name is micro", and in a concise and powerful language, it shows us the intangibility and transcendence of the "Tao".
Blind is called Yi", which means that when we try to observe the Tao with our eyes, we find that it is formless and cannot be seen. The "Yi" here is to describe this formless and phaseless state. It tells us that the Tao is not a material entity that we can grasp with our naked eyes, but a existence that transcends the senses.
If you don't hear it, you can't hear it, and you can't hear it, and you can't hear it." It's silent, yet it's everywhere. This state of "Xi" further emphasizes the transcendence of "Tao", which transcends the scope of our hearing, and is an existence that cannot be described by sound.
And "if you can't fight, the name is small", it means that when we try to touch and grasp the "Tao" with our hands, we find that it cannot be touched. This state of "micro" once again highlights the transcendence of "Tao". It transcends our tactile perception and is an existence that cannot be grasped concretely.
Yi, Xi, and Wei together constitute the invisible realm of "Tao". They are not constrictive, i.e., they cannot be described precisely in words, so they are one and the same. This state of mixing together is the true portrayal of the "Tao". It transcends our senses and cognitions, yet is everywhere and all the time.
Further, this invisible realm is neither bright nor dim, it transcends the boundaries of our vision, and is a realm that transcends light and darkness. In this realm, "the rope is indescribable", and everything flows in a continuous, indescribable state. This kind of circulation is not something we can understand or control, and it eventually returns to nothing, returning to the most primitive and authentic state.
This kind of "Tao" is said to be formless, and the image without image is to be in a trance. It has no fixed shape, no specific image, trance, elusive. This trance-like state is the true appearance of the "Tao". It transcends our cognition and imagination, but it invisibly affects the operation of all things.
When we try to meet it, we "don't see the head"; When we try to follow it, "there is no follow-up". This elusive nature makes the Tao a mysterious and profound existence. It's ubiquitous, yet elusive; It's all the time, but it's hard to describe.
However, despite how elusive and incomprehensible the Tao is, we can try to grasp it by "holding on to the ancient ways and keeping the present in mind." This means that we can harness and deal with real-life things with the help of the wisdom and principles of the Tao that have been handed down from ancient times. Through a deep understanding and application of the principles of the Tao, we can better cope with life's challenges and dilemmas, and achieve personal growth and social harmony.
To be able to know the beginning of the ancient times is to say the Tao Ji". If we can trace and understand the origin and essence of the Tao, then we have grasped the program and essence of the Tao. This requires us to have profound philosophical literacy and keen insight, and gradually approach the true meaning of "Tao" through continuous study and practice. Tao Te Ching Revelation
