"454" for safe use of carbon dioxide cylinders
First of all, carbon dioxide cylinders are hazardous, both in terms of the gas itself and during storage and transportation. Carbon dioxide is a colorless, odorless, and non-corrosive gas that has a wide range of applications in industrial, medical, agricultural and other fields. However, if carbon dioxide is compressed into a liquid or solid state and packed in a gas cylinder, its use and storage are dangerous. The industry has summarized the "454 Security Law".
1. Know the four dangers.
1.High pressure danger: the pressure of the compressed carbon dioxide in the cylinder is very high, if the cylinder is damaged or leaked, accidents such as ** will occur, causing injury to personnel and equipment.
2.Choking hazard: When carbon dioxide leaks, the concentration of carbon dioxide in a confined space increases instantaneously, causing people to suffocate to death.
3.Low temperature danger: The temperature of liquid carbon dioxide is extremely low, which can easily make people coagulated by carbon dioxide below a certain temperature, and even freeze fingers and **.
4.Increased risk: There is a risk of damage or leakage of carbon dioxide during handling and use, which further exacerbates the hazards of carbon dioxide cylinders.
The above hazards remind us that we must pay great attention to the storage and use of carbon dioxide cylinders.
2. Keep in mind five precautions.
1.Gas cylinder storage needs to be ventilated, cool, dry and moisture-proof;
2.It is strictly forbidden to expose to the sun for a long time and avoid high temperature for a long time, otherwise the cylinder may expand and **.
3.Gas cylinders must be regularly inspected, filled, requisitioned and distributed;
4.It is strictly forbidden to throw gas cylinders from high places or cause damage to gas cylinders, and once the gas cylinders are damaged, they must not be used continuously;
5.When using carbon dioxide cylinders, make sure that they are well ventilated and try not to let the concentration exceed 5%.
3. Implement four types of security measures.
1.When using gas cylinders, special tools must be used to operate, and it is forbidden to scratch the surface of gas cylinders with metal.
2.After a long working day, take a deep breath of oxygen and rest and relax.
3.If a gas cylinder is found to be leaking or ruptured, leave the scene immediately and notify the relevant personnel to make a preliminary disposal.
4.When handling gas cylinders, pay attention to handling them gently, separating objects and people. When lifting the cylinder, ensure that the cylinder is balanced and must not be tilted.
