Let me see your bookshelves
I live in a rented house with my children, but I like the saying: the house is rented, but life is not.
Therefore, I think that when renting a house, you must also fill it with your favorite things.
This bookshelf was put at home at the end of last year. There are 3 large bookshelves in the studio, as well as a few small bookshelves, and most of the books in the house used to be put in the studio, but there are some books on the bedside table.
But because I have a lot of books, sometimes, different moods will want to read different books, and I don't have a bookshelf at home, which always feels inconvenient.
However, the rented house is not big, and it still takes up more space to put some books, so I still want to come and go, so I still get a small bookshelf.
It's small, but it makes me feel like I suddenly have a very good friend because of it.
I buy books a lot, and I spend a few thousand dollars a year to buy them, and every year I add one or two hundred new books. Friends often ask: Have you finished reading so many books? To be honest, I really don't.
Some books I bought may not have been opened, some books I have read and read over and over again, and some books are very well written that I saw in the library, and after reading them, I bought another copy and put it on the shelf for collection, and I never opened it. There are many unread books.
I'm not a person with a lot of income, on the contrary, I have a mediocre income. But buying books has always been a hobby of mine, because books have been my best friends since high school.
Ever since I was in high school, I've dreamed of having my own study, and although this wish has not yet come true, it is still possible to have a bookshelf.
The three red calendars I've read the most so far are them, yes, these are the three red calendars.
Although they are calendars, each one has its own content, so it can be said that it is a small book.
The calendar for 2019 is one ancient poem a day, and I like it very much, and I will take it out and read it from time to time.
In 2023, the Forbidden City calendar will introduce some ancient famous paintings every day, and I also like this one very much.
In 2024, this is a one-day poem published by the Foreign Research Society, which contains excerpts from Chinese poems and excerpts from English poems. I bought this calendar because I wanted to get in touch with the English language so that I wouldn't lose my English skills.
There are still a lot of books from my child, who is in the third grade of primary school this year, and I plan to finish reading the books on this shelf with him.
Reading 50 books a year was not a difficult task for me before, but now it is a little bit more difficult. Thankfully, my child also fell in love with reading under my guidance, and he started to read and write, and 50 books a year was not much of a problem. This year, we're working together toward that goal.
Are you going to read with your kids this year too? Come and share your book list!
