Manchester United are reportedly set to push Donny van de Beek and Facundo Pellistri during the summer transfer window.

When the pair signed in 2020, it was expected that both players would be able to take a first-team place at Old Trafford immediately or in the future. Instead, neither has been able to make a lasting impact, not least Donny van de Beek, who was valued at around £39 million when he joined from Ajax.

Van de Beek. Due to poor form and injuries, Donny van de Beek has made just 62 appearances in all competitions, contributing just two goals and two assists.

Pellistri, meanwhile, has never enjoyed consistent minutes in the first team, making just 24 appearances and going out on loan.

Manchester United are reportedly ready to cash out of the two players, although their valuations will have to be met.

It remains unclear what United want from Donny van de Beek in return, but it is alleged that the Eintracht Frankfurt club, who are currently on loan, have the option to acquire his services on a permanent basis, which could cost close to £12 million.

Donny van de Beek has provided at least the chances for Germany, with a total of four starts and one substitute appearance in the Bundesliga, but the 26-year-old has played no more than 67 minutes in a single game.

Eintracht Frankfurt head coach Dino Topmole was also not a first-choice when he made changes to his Europa League squad in the knockout stages, leaving Donny van de Beek with a lot to prove in order to secure a full-time transfer.

Pellistri.

As for Pellistri, he enjoyed more success during his loan spell at Granada, starting three times in total and contributing a goal and an assist in the 3-3 draw away to Barcelona.

If he continues to impress, the Uruguay international will not be short of ** at the end of the season, when he has one year left on his contract.

Manchester United are keen to part ways with as many fringe players as possible as they plan to restructure under Sir Ratcliffe, a minority shareholder in charge of football.

There are suggestions that United may consider parting ways with as many as 11 players in the summer, as some of the high-profile players have less than 18 months left on their respective contracts.
