In 2008, two ** sheets in a newspaper in the United States attracted the attention of countless people.

A woman in one of the **s, combing her bangs, looks round and jade, is a big beauty, this person is **, and the ** name at this time is Lan Ping.

The ** in this ** seems to be completely different from the appearance we are familiar with later, and the appearance seems to have undergone earth-shaking changes.

This ** is a photo of several couples together in 1936, and the man who tied the knot with Apple is Donner.

In Hangzhou in 1936, there was a lace news event that was the top at that time.

With the well-known director Zheng Junli as the officiant, and Professor Shen Junru, the dean of Shanghai Law School, as the witnesses, a sensational group wedding was held for Donner and Lan Ping, Zhao Dan and Ye Luqian, Gu and Du Xiaojuan, and other six people.

These eight were all quite famous in Shanghai at that time, especially the two witnesses.

Zheng Junli not only presided over and directed many excellent left-wing progressive films such as "Long Live the Nation", "Drama Spring and Autumn", and "Motherland", but also translated and sorted out the Stanley system, made indelible contributions to China's film performance theory, and won many awards such as the International Film Festival Biopic Award, the Chinese Film Century Award for Best Director, and many other awards.

Mr. Shen Junru is even more remarkable, having served as the vice president of the International Association of Democratic Lawyers in Berlin, Germany.

Before coming to Shanghai, he also served as an administrative commissar in the ** middle school of Zhejiang Province, and then joined the Democratic League, and served as the chairman of the Democratic League, resolutely opposing the reactionary rule of the Kuomintang, and belonged to a proper revolutionary father.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Shen was particularly proficient in law, and served as the president of the Supreme People's Court for a long time, making great contributions to the judicial system of New China.

Being able to invite these two big names to witness the marriage shows that these three couples are not ordinary.

Among them, the most eye-catching pair was Donner and Lan Ping**, not because of how famous ** was at this time, but because Donner was a big man with a certain status in Shanghai and even in the Chinese entertainment industry at that time.

Donner has served as a screenwriter for the special issue of drama and film in "Ta Kung Pao", played the leading role in dramas, served as a war correspondent, and served as a diplomatic translator for the Kuomintang many times.

Due to his outstanding talent, handsomeness, and privileged family background, Donner met many women in Shanghai, and also left a lot of romantic stories, and married Lan Ping in 1936.

However, what no one expected was that the progress bar of this marriage was a bit fast. The wedding was held in April of that year, and the two were already strangers at the end of May.

Lan Ping returned to her hometown in Jinan on the grounds that her mother was seriously ill, and soon after, she contacted the organization, flew directly to Yan'an in 1937, and resolutely left Donner.

Because Lan Ping was already a member of the Communist Party before she met Donner, but because she was captured by the enemy, she lost contact with **, so after contacting the organization, she naturally had to leave.

As for Donner, in addition to being a merry man on the surface and an entertainment king, he is also a senior Communist Party member.

Although, until now, we have not been able to confirm in which year he joined the party, but from the introduction of Comrade Xia Qiyan later, we can make some speculations.

Xia Qiyan officially joined the Communist Party of China in 1937 with the help of Donner, which means that before he went to Yan'an, Donner had already joined the party, and he was an old underground who was qualified to introduce others to the party.

A few years ago, there was a hit TV series called "18 Years in the Enemy Camp", and this work is not an exaggeration, because in reality, there are indeed many comrades of our party who have been lurking among the Kuomintang reactionaries for a long time, and they have really become high-level figures in the Kuomintang, and this person is Donner.

Because Donner's family is very wealthy, and he is proficient in many Chinese and is very good at diplomacy, Donner is black and white when he is on the beach.

For example, the famous gangster ** Rong, Du Yuesheng and others in Shanghai have a good relationship with Donner, and whenever there is a birthday party, they will invite Donner to perform on stage, and write a congratulatory essay by the way.

Similarly, Donner and many of the Kuomintang** also have deep friendships, such as Song Ziwen, Kong Xiangxi and other Chiang Kai-shek's in-laws, all of whom have a good chat with Donner. In addition, Downer has also served as a translator for Chen Cheng, the ** of the Kuomintang and the behind-the-scenes boss of Huang Wei, many times.

It is precisely by virtue of his deep relationship with the Kuomintang that Downer also got in touch with the Americans, such as the U.S. Ambassador to China Stuart Leiden, the ** Special Envoy Weidemeyer, and others, all of whom are Downer's pen pals.

As a result of such a hard relationship, it was not that there were no KMT top brass who doubted Donner's identity, because Donner was an absolute "left-leaning" intellectual, who often published articles in the press criticizing the KMT's capitulation speech, and had close contacts with the Communists.

But unfortunately, every time the Kuomintang investigated Donner, the bigwigs would come out and stop it, and even once after the military commander arrested Donner's ex-wife Chen Lu, he directly went to Chiang Kai-shek, so that the military commander had to release him.

Because in Chiang Kai-shek's opinion, Donner's mouth is natural and hard, but the body is still very honest.

After the fall of Shanghai and Nanjing in 1937, Donner never abandoned the Kuomintang, first Wuhan and then Chongqing, closely following the pace of the Kuomintang and becoming a model for the Kuomintang to show its democracy in the eyes of the Kuomintang.

What's even more interesting is that Donner has never stopped his underground activities, and sometimes, Donner's actions as an underground party are simply rampant.

On several occasions, when Donner held underground party gatherings in Chongqing, he also specially invited Chiang Ching-kuo, the son of Chiang Kai-shek, who had joined the Communist Party.

However, it is precisely because of such a bold style that no one in the Kuomintang believes that he is a communist.

During the Chongqing negotiations in 1945, Donner was also not shy about it, and often took the initiative to visit the prime minister and others, and provided them with a large amount of information about the underground party members who were imprisoned by the Kuomintang.

What's even more exaggerated is that Downer not only did not hide his leaks, but also published information about the Kuomintang ** underground party members in the newspaper many times, and named the one by name, for fear that others would not know his political tendencies.

In February 1949, this CCP underground party figure with obvious pro-communist tendencies was even invited by Soong Meiling to go to the United States to help Soong Meiling handle some private business.

Does Donner's experience seem outrageous? It seems a little, but with the Kuomintang, it is not a matter at all.

You must know that in the Huaihai Campaign, Guo Ruhuai and Liu Fei, who formulated a decisive battle plan for the Kuomintang, were also our party's **.

In the Battle of Pingjin, General Fu Zuoyi, the commander-in-chief of the Kuomintang, and his daughter Fu Dongju were also underground party members.

Even by Chiang Kai-shek's side, there were many underground party comrades who were trusted by him, such as Shen Anna, who served as Chiang Kai-shek's secretary for more than 20 years.

To be able to lurk behind enemy lines to such an extent one cannot but admire the excellence of the underground party comrades.

It also has to be emotional, how could Chiang Kai-shek get mixed up to such an extent?

In 1949, as the Chinese Liberation War came to an end, many comrades who had been latent returned to the organization and enjoyed the treatment they deserved, such as Comrade Guo Rugui.

But there are also many comrades who have chosen to continue to lurk for the cause of New China, such as General Wu Shi, who was killed as a traitor in 1950.

Downer falls into the latter category.

In 1949, Donner ran to the United States under the pretext of running a business for Song Meiling, and began another love journey of his own, tying the knot with Chen Runqiong.

In 1953, Donner, who was in Paris, tried his best to raise 4.8 million francs and sent the huge amount of money back to China in the name of mailing it to his family.

It can be said that Downer should be regarded as one of the earliest overseas sleeper workers in China.

After that, he continued to be active abroad until 1978, when he returned to China.

At this time, although Donner's file was still preserved, it had been secretly sealed for a long time, and not many people knew the true identity of this underground party member.

Even Donner's former friend, Xia Qiyan, who was in charge of entertaining Donner back to China, didn't know what kind of existence Donner was at this time?

But Xia Qiyan knew that Donner's identity was definitely not ordinary, because in December of the year Donner returned to China, the Central Investigation Department, which was later known as the National Security Bureau, took the initiative to find the door and secretly took Donner away, and sent him to Beijing overnight to meet with Marshal *** as an overseas Chinese in France.

Because this meeting was confidential, not many people knew what Donner talked about with Marshal ***, and even when it was recorded, Mr. Ma referred to Donner.

But not long after, Shanghai's "Liberation**" published such a message:

Downer is in the party again!

These six short words really contain too much information, one word after another, indicating that Downer was indeed a member of the Communist Party of China.

The same is the protection of Donner.

Because in 1978, although China began to ease up with Western countries, but for long-term historical reasons, the relationship between China and the West is far from harmonious, if the West knows that Donner has always been an underground worker of our party, then Donner's business in France will be ruined.

China's worries were correct, and after the end of this trip back to China, Downer, who returned to Paris, was investigated by France.

Fortunately, because Donner's connections are extensive enough, and Donner's father-in-law is indeed a high-level Kuomintang official, this did not let France find out anything.

After that, Donner continued to run his own Skybridge Hotel in Paris, where he hosted many Western celebrities and facilitated a lot of Sino-French cooperation.

In 1985, Donner, who already felt that he was not as healthy as before, once again returned to China with his wife and daughter, escorted by the Chinese National Security Bureau, and stayed in Beijing for a long time, and this was the last time Donner returned to China.

In 1988, this legendary Chinese underground party member died of lung cancer in Paris, France.

In 2012, Major General Ye Xuanning, who was the head of the Liaison Department of the General Political Department of the People's Liberation Army and the son of Marshal ***, officially revealed Donner's identity: a special member of the Communist Party of China and the first batch of intelligence officers of the *** department.

Yes, that's right, Downer has always been a member of our party's underground party from beginning to end.

Whether in Chongqing or overseas, his heart is always red.

There is no time to be quiet, but someone is just carrying the weight for us.

In those turbulent years, there were many warriors like Donner who hid their merits and fame, lurked in enemy camps, and even went to foreign lands.

Their names may never be known, and their exploits are sealed in the deepest archival boxes.

But it is precisely because of these warriors who are willing to lurk in the darkness all their lives that we can live under the sun.
