Some people ask, why is there a gap between the understanding of the classics between those who read the original text and those who read the translation. In fact, the biggest difference between the two versions is not the two texts, but the amount of information carried by the two article structures is different. Therefore, a person who has not been educated in the scriptures or has been trained in a professional discipline in a professional school, even if he can speak Arabic, may not be able to read the scriptures.
Nowadays, people know Chinese characters, but they may not all understand ancient Chinese characters accurately. It can be seen that the obstacle to understanding ancient Chinese is not the written word, but the way of thinking of today's people is different from that of the ancients. The classics of more than 1,000 years ago cannot be the thinking logic of the vernacular now, and the articles written in the vernacular are always floating and rigid, not smart and fresh. Therefore, it is possible to explain ancient texts in the vernacular, but they cannot replace the beauty of ancient texts.
I remember that in the school, a short sentence, the old scholars had to explain to us for several days, and some old scholars had to talk about a sentence for more than a month, which I had personally experienced. If it is replaced by a translation, no matter who it is, it will not be able to dig up so much content. The classic style is very special, the sentences are concise, and there is a rhyme, which is very similar to Tang poetry. Each word has both the meaning of the sentence and its own independent meaning, and the rhetoric is completely different from that of Chinese.
Since people of different levels can read different meanings, the original text of the classics cannot be replaced by any other translation, and the original text must be read wherever it is necessary to read it. Some people say I can't read, so I have to study! Arabic is a pinyin script, only 28 letters, don't you still learn 28 letters in your life? The Merciful Lord said, "I have raised up whom I will, and above every man of knowledge there is an all-knowing." ”(12:76)
