Ah Fu's story.
In a small village far away lived a farmer named Ah Fu. Ah Fu is hardworking and simple, working hard in the fields every day, living a plain and fulfilling life. However, one day his peaceful life is shattered by a vixen. This vixen is named Hong'er, and she is very beautiful, and her fiery fur glistens in the sun. She lived in the mountains near her village and often came down to plague the people. The villagers were very distressed by this, but they could not do anything about it.
One day, Hong'er came to the village again and saw Ah Fu working in the fields, and she immediately felt that she wanted to play a prank on this honest farmer. So she turned into a beautiful woman and walked up to Ah Fu, and said coquettishly: Big brother, you see that I am so beautiful, can you do me a favor. Ah Fu was a little moved when he saw the beautiful woman in front of him, but he quickly came back to his senses and remembered the fox spirit that the villagers often mentioned, and his heart became vigilant.
He asked tentatively: Sister, what do you want me to help with? Hong'er pretended to be aggrieved and said: Big brother, I'm lost and can't find my way home, can you send me home. Ah Fu thought to himself: This vixen must want to play some tricks. So he deliberately said: Sister, your home is in **, I'll send you back. Hong'er panicked when she heard this. She thought to herself: Oh no, I forgot to make up a specific address.
So she had an idea, pointed to a mountain peak in the distance, and said, "My house is on that mountain." Ah Fu looked at the mountain peak and thought: that mountain is so high, how can she live on it as a girl, this must be a trap. But since she's willing to go, I won't care too much about her. So he decided to take her with him.
So Ah Fu took Hong'er to the peak, and he looked at Hong'er living in the cave at the top of the mountain, and thought to himself: What a trap. But it was also an opportunity for me to get to know this vixen. Hong'er originally planned to spend the night at Ah Fu's house, but Ah Fu suddenly mentioned that she should stay at his house first. She nodded helplessly, thinking to herself, forget it, I'll let you go this time. So she said yes and asked him to take her home.
After Ah Fu brought Hong'er home, he arranged a room for her, and he went to the kitchen to prepare dinner. Hong'er heard the sound from the kitchen, walked over curiously, and saw Ah Fu cutting radishes and green onions, and couldn't help asking: Big brother, what are you doing? It looks like it's delicious. Ah Fu looked back at her and said, "Sister, you're here, I'm cooking dinner." Hong'er asked curiously: Big brother, what are you doing? It looks like it's delicious. Ah Fu said proudly: Haha, this is my exclusive secret recipe - stewed green onions with radish.
Hong'er suddenly felt a chill after hearing this, and felt disgusted when she thought of the name of the dish, but she still took a bite of it. Unexpectedly, the bowl of dishes tasted pretty good. Hong'er was suddenly shocked and said: Big brother, your craftsmanship is really amazing, this dish is so delicious. Ah Fu was immediately happy after hearing this, and thought: Haha, I finally succeeded. So he and Hong'er enjoyed this delicious dinner together.
After eating, Ah Fu and Hong'er sat in the courtyard and chatted, they talked about each other's life experiences and preferences, and gradually became acquainted. Hong'er found that although Ah Fu looked rough on the outside, he was very delicate and kind on the inside, and she couldn't help but have a good impression of this farmer. Late at night, Ah Fu got up and said goodbye: Good night, sister, I have to get up early tomorrow morning to work. Hong'er also stood up and said, "Good night, big brother," and then she turned around and went back to her room.
The next morning, Ah Fu got up early to start the day's work, but Hong'er stayed in bed and didn't get up. She thought about the chat with Ah Fu last night and the delicious dinner, and an inexplicable feeling welled up in her heart. She realizes that she has fallen in love with this kind farmer. So Hong'er decided to stay and help Ah Fu work and live together. She used her magic to help Ah Fu cultivate the land and drive away wild beasts, making a good harvest the norm.
When the villagers saw Ah Fu and Hong'er living a happy life, they all sighed, thinking that they were a match made in heaven. Since then, the fox spirit Hong'er no longer harms the people, but has become a hard-working and kind peasant wife, living a plain and fulfilling life. And Ah Fu has become happier and more satisfied because of Hong'er's company. Their story has spread throughout the village and has become a beautiful legend that makes people feel the power of kindness and love.
