Humanoid robotics startup Figure AI has announced the completion of 6$7.5 billion with a valuation of $2.6 billion.
Figure AI's round of investors includes Microsoft, OpenAI Startup Fund, NVIDIA, Amazon Industrial Innovation**, Jeff Bezos (through Bezos Expedition), Parkway Venture Capital, Intel Investments, Align Ventures, and ARK Invest.
This investment will accelerate the humanoid commercial deployment timeline and will be used for: AI training, manufacturing, deployment of more robots, expansion of engineering staff, and commercial deployment.
Figure AI has also signed a collaboration agreement with OpenAI to develop next-generation AI models for humanoid robots. The collaboration aims to help accelerate the commercialization of figures by enhancing the capabilities of humanoid robots to process and reason about language.
According to reports, Figure AI was founded in 2022 and is a general-purpose humanoid robot developer whose goal is to develop general-purpose humanoid robots that can work in different environments and handle various tasks.
Figure AI can be used from warehousing to retail, and its product Figure 01 has demonstrated the ability to complete tasks such as brewing coffee autonomously. As of now, Figure AI has only 80 employees.
