Guernsey Post has a self-service kiosk in its information centre on the North Promenade, right next to the harbour – perfect for visitors who want to send letters or postcards.Last year, the vending machine** stamp was aptly named "Visiting Cruise". Whenever a ship docks, the postmark on the stamp is changed to welcome the visiting ship.

Last year's first ship was MSC's Virtuosa on April 25. Coincidentally, the stamp depicts the MSC's Virtuosa.

A total of 39 different stamp bands were sold during the summer months, however, some of the stamps were duplicated due to the multiple round trips of some ships, sometimes even with two ships visiting on the same day.
More boat visits were expected, but some cancelled due to itinerary changes and bad weather. The last ship to visit was the MS's Amadea on October 23rd.

When two ships arrive on the same day, the stamped wording is modified – the words "Welcome:" are removed and only the names of the two ships are displayed.
