The overall requirements of the "Clean Sea 2024" special action are to strictly implement the decision-making and deployment of the Communist Party of China on cracking down on sea-related smuggling, continue to maintain a high-pressure situation of cracking down on maritime smuggling, and always adhere to the anti-smuggling model of integrated planning, sea and land linkage, and comprehensive management, and make every effort to prevent and resolve regional, phased, and systematic smuggling risks, resolutely curb the high incidence and frequent occurrence of smuggling of goods during sensitive periods, key sea areas, and seasonal goods, and effectively maintain the overall political and economic situation of the country and maritime security and stability.
The operation will focus on rectifying the smuggling of frozen products, seafood and other food products, and strictly prevent imported food safety risks; We will work together to crack down on the smuggling of refined oil, tobacco, mineral products, and other tax-related goods, and eradicate a number of smuggling gangs that evade huge amounts of taxes and cause serious harm to society.
