Why is there such a strong snowfall?
The first is the effect of the low vortex, which brings abundant water vapor from the Indian Ocean. As can be seen from the satellite image, a large number of precipitation cloud systems have appeared in Pakistan and other places on March 1.
With the eastward movement of the westerly trough and the low vortex, the southwest jet in front of the trough strengthened, coupled with the uplift of the terrain, the power and water vapor conditions were relatively well coordinated, and this round of heavy snowfall was created. Moreover, the system moves slowly and lasts for a long time, resulting in a long duration of the snowfall process.
Judging from the cumulative snowfall, the snowfall in the west is extreme, and on the 3rd, the ground wind in the west increases, and there may be wind-blown snow.
This heavy snowfall will have an impact on local transportation, production and life, power and communication facilities, especially agriculture and animal husbandry, and it is necessary to do a good job in livestock cold and warmth, feed reserves, and enclosure reinforcement.
