Introduction: In recent years, the social phenomenon of toilets for primary school students has attracted widespread attention. Li Guohua, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, vice chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, and deputy director of the Shanghai China Vocational Education Society, conducted an in-depth investigation on this issue and called on the education department, schools and parents to work together to solve this problem.
In his research, Li Guohua found that the main reasons for primary school students' toilet socialization are school safety concerns and parents' anxiety about students. The school is concerned about the safety of students during recess activities, so there are strict restrictions on recess activities. In addition, some parents believe that not going outdoors during recess will help students make the most of their time to study, while some parents are overprotective of their children and require schools to strictly manage students.
However, studies have shown that minors have shorter attention spans and need proper relaxation after a lesson. Sitting for a long time can also lead to physical health problems, such as obesity and myopia, which is not conducive to students' mental health in the long run. The data shows that there are 14 teenagers in China8% have varying degrees of depression risk, which is higher than that of the adult group, and 30% of the total number of people under the age of 18 are depressed28%。
In the face of this problem, Li Guohua suggested that the education department should come up with a plan to ensure the implementation of students' right to free movement between classes across the country. For example, the punishment mechanism for schools that have not been implemented for a long time should be clarified, and the development of recess activities should be included in the scope of education supervision, and in particular, it is necessary to effectively put an end to the bad behavior of schools teaching students to falsify, and to strictly enforce the formalistic style of allowing students to move freely between classes only when they encounter inspections by their superiors.
In addition, Li Guohua also suggested that the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate should further refine the rules to clarify the relevant liability of schools for accidental injuries that occur when they have fulfilled their educational management responsibilities. School liability insurance is effective in mitigating school risks, but the amount of insurance is low and the scope of liability is insufficient. The Ministry of Education could optimize the insurance rules or introduce more types of insurance to cover recess activities.
Conclusion: The phenomenon of toilet socialization among primary school students has aroused widespread concern, and the committee members called on the education department, schools and parents to work together to solve this problem. Only through multi-party linkage and collaboration can students no longer be limited to toilet socialization and get more beautiful childhood memories.
