Liu Mingming s pen returns to the natural pure snow, telling the boundless dream

Mondo Entertainment Updated on 2024-03-05

In Liu Mingliang's paintings, snow is no longer snow, and snow has truly become snow, returning to natural and pure snow, abandoning the self-righteous and artificial lyrical literary tone and grievances, bleak tone and shallow lyricism, and the market-oriented operation of solidified themes - because the imposition of the so-called "self" on snow still belongs to the realm of "small self" - towards the natural spirit of "no one in sight". Just as the so-called "Wenxin Carving Dragon" is "to Tao Jun Wensi, the most important thing is to be quiet, sparse and sparse, and bathe in the snow." This great light and majestic air also.

Over the years, Mingming's oil painting has strived to abandon the tendency of overly skilled oil slippery and symbolic, no matter how many years have passed, without forgetting his original intention. Calm and compassionate, he once waded far away in quicksand, followed the bright moon, and went to Dunhuang to seek dreams. Truth is true because it is a dream, it is the need, verification and manifestation of the heart. "Authenticity" has a different definition in each era, but it is always indispensable, and the narrow distinction between realism and freehand needs to be broken. Bright works are always in a delicate balance in this regard, such as the oil painting Flying Sky series, mottled and agile, as if you want to break free from the picture, but also want to disappear into the canvas, in a limited form, tell the infinite dream. At the same time, in terms of color, there is Wei Tianlin-style richness and tension, as well as the spirituality and decoration of Nabi and Fauvism.

The snow scene in the pen has a more Zen flavor. The viewer's interaction with these paintings often makes people feel a sense of tranquility in their hearts, and in these scenes full of Zen machines, the viewer can't help but feel a little throbbing in his heart.

Some people say: People who can hear the sound of snow falling must have a special temperament. Do you know that every painter who can sketch in the suburbs has witnessed the spirituality of the snow, and the sound of the snow when it falls? But "snow falls silently" is a higher realm, I think, the sound of snow falling in your heart precipitated in your heart, become a part of your life, this is the greatest gift of nature to life.
