Marvel Studios has confirmed the main villain of Deadpool vs. Wolverine
Deadpool & Wolverine has always been shrouded in mystery, including the identity of its main villain, which will be played by the award-winning Emma Colin.
Initial rumors were that Emma Colin would play the X-Men villain Danger (an intellectual being formed by a mutation of artificial intelligence used in the school's training room), but this was quickly debunked and made it clear who would be the main antagonist.
Now, thanks to the official list of U.S. rights for Deadpool and Wolverine, Marvel has finally confirmed the role Colin will play in the MCU trilogy.
The cast confirmed that the "Crown" star will play Cassandra Nova, an X-Men villain and sister of team leader Professor Charles Xavier.
Cassandra Nova comes from a disembodied spiritual entity called Mummudrai, which replicates the DNA of the unborn Xavier to create its own body. She later becomes a powerful threat, possessing similar psychic abilities to Professor X and a fierce hatred for her twin brother and mutants.
Cassandra Nova appears in Deadpool 3
Since Deadpool vs. Wolverine will be a multiverse movie, Cassandra Nova could be a major threat across multiple universes.
Maybe they'll set out to purge the mutants in the multiverse, or maybe their goal might be the Fox Universe, forcing Deadpool and Wolverine to join forces to defend their reality.
With Emma Colin about to play Cassandra Nova, the sister of Professor Charles Xavier, it's hard to imagine a world where at least one version of the X-Men leader won't appear in Deadpool & Wolverine.
Following his cameo in Doctor Strange 2: Multiverse of Madness, Charles Xavier actor Patrick Stewart hinted at more MCU cameos and subsequently confirmed that he was "on standby" for a potential role in Deadpool 3.
In January, after being asked about hinting at more of his return in Captain Marvel 2, Stewart told the Happy Sad Confused podcast that "there's a process":
It's a foregone conclusion, there's a process. You know, it's been difficult for the last two or three years, workforce issues and health issues, and covid, you know. ”
Since Stuart is interested in playing Professor X again, it would be surprising if he wasn't involved in the Deadpool trilogy, especially since several other X-Men have confirmed their return and his **sister is now involved. Deadpool 3
