On Hongfeng Lake, a beautiful rainbow spans both banks, echoing the adjacent Hongfeng Lake Bridge, which is the Huayudong Bridge, which won the Gustavus Lindthal Gold Medal, and is also an arched bridge that Liu Bin participated in building.
Huayudong Bridge is a bridge on the high-grade highway from Guiyang to Huangguoshu on National Highway G320, located in the Hongfeng Lake Scenic Area and the first-class drinking water source protection area, and the bridge construction environment is extremely sensitive.
In the actual work process, we uphold the spirit of opening roads in the mountains and building bridges in the water, and innovate construction ideas. Liu Bin recalled. In order to minimize the impact on the environment and water sources, Liu Bin's team innovated the construction idea of "building new arches for old bridges, and demolishing old bridges with new arches" without choosing another bridge location, breaking through the traditional construction technology limitations of blasting and demolition, or erecting temporary support supports for demolition, and solving the problem of in-situ reconstruction of long-span bridges. While saving land resources, reducing ecological and environmental impacts, it also saves construction costs.
