In the course of the documentary, what impressed me the most was an ancient bridge - Gejing Bridge. On February 29, the first episode of the large-scale documentary "Crossing the Mountains and Rivers" "Crossing the Mountains and Rivers" was broadcast, and Liu Bin, deputy chief engineer of the bridge group affiliated to Guizhou Communications Construction Group, was deeply touched, "In this ancient bridge and its builders, I feel the simple ingenuity inherited from the bridge people in Guizhou since ancient times." ”

It is located in the southeast of Fuquan City, Qiannan Prefecture, Guizhou ProvinceThe Gejing Bridge on the 5-kilometer Maha River is called "the crown of bridges in the southwest" by the "History of Chinese Ancient Bridge Technology" edited by Mao Yisheng, the "father of modern bridges in China". For the construction of this bridge, Fuquan people Ge Jing took 30 years to complete the construction after two failures, containing the unswerving spirit of craftsmanship and inspiring today's people.

As the only province in China that does not have plains, Guizhou is steep in mountains and valleys. The two banks seem to be close at hand, but they are separated by a river and a canyon. "400 years ago, Ge seniors in no equipment, no good materials, and no perfect structural design theory like we have today, spent 30 years to build such an arch bridge, such a perseverance, overcoming difficulties of the 'bridge building spirit', worthy of every one of us bridge people to learn, inheritance. Liu Bin said.

The experience of Ge Jing's predecessors in building bridges deeply touched Liu Bin, who is also a builder of arched bridges. For more than 20 years, Liu Bin has formed an indissoluble bond with the arch bridge.

On Hongfeng Lake, a beautiful rainbow spans both banks, echoing the adjacent Hongfeng Lake Bridge, which is the Huayudong Bridge, which won the Gustavus Lindthal Gold Medal, and is also an arched bridge that Liu Bin participated in building.

Huayudong Bridge is a bridge on the high-grade highway from Guiyang to Huangguoshu on National Highway G320, located in the Hongfeng Lake Scenic Area and the first-class drinking water source protection area, and the bridge construction environment is extremely sensitive.

In the actual work process, we uphold the spirit of opening roads in the mountains and building bridges in the water, and innovate construction ideas. Liu Bin recalled. In order to minimize the impact on the environment and water sources, Liu Bin's team innovated the construction idea of "building new arches for old bridges, and demolishing old bridges with new arches" without choosing another bridge location, breaking through the traditional construction technology limitations of blasting and demolition, or erecting temporary support supports for demolition, and solving the problem of in-situ reconstruction of long-span bridges. While saving land resources, reducing ecological and environmental impacts, it also saves construction costs. The successful construction of the Huayudong Bridge provides a good solution for similar projects with limited terrain and sensitive environment.

Guizhou, which used to be "even the peaks and the sky, and the birds can't pass", bridges across valleys and ravines, communicating all continents and seas, and turning mountains into plains. "Convenient transportation brings interconnection. People from outside can come in, and people and things in the mountains are also going out in a steady stream. As a member of the bridge construction, Liu Bin felt honored in the process of the documentary. "In the future, I will continue to uphold the simple ingenuity of generations of Guizhou bridge people, continue to practice and improve in practical work, and cast more high-quality bridge projects. ”
