Why does China condemn it in the strongest terms ?

If all European countries adhere to the one-China policy, they should make it clear as soon as possible that they "support China's peaceful reunification."

Deeply shocked, resolutely opposed, and condemned in the strongest terms. This was said by the spokesperson of the Chinese Mission to the European Union in response to a reporter's question on February 29.

Note that the use of the highest level is the highest level, especially "the strongest condemnation", which undoubtedly reveals an expression of the Chinese side's intentions.

To whom do you say that?

Note that the spokesperson of the Chinese Mission to the EU is addressed to the European Parliament.

The origin of the matter is that on February 28, the European Parliament adopted the 2023 EU Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Report. The report not only blames China on issues such as Hong Kong, Xinjiang and the South China Sea, but also claims that "China and Taiwan are not subordinate to each other."

As the spokesperson of the EU mission said, the report "seriously tramples on international law and basic norms governing international relations, infringes on China's sovereignty, and grossly involves China's internal affairs."

Uncle Hai even wants to say that these remarks in this report are simply ridiculous and generous.

Let's see what the European Parliament is! The Parliament of the European Coal and Steel Community, established in 1952, was renamed the "European Parliament" in 1962. On 1 November 1993, the Maastricht Treaty entered into force and the European Union was formally established. The European Parliament, together with the European Council and the European Commission, are the three major institutions of the European Union. It seems that these three institutions have a certain appearance, and they are driving the process of European integration. But let's not forget that 30 years on, the EU is not a sovereign state. From the European Coal and Steel Community, to the European Economic Community, the European Atomic Energy Community, and so on, to the gradual development of the European Community, to the political union, the unification of the currency, and even the eventual implementation of a unified defense policy, it seems that the process of European integration has been advancing, but it is not yet complete. In the meantime, there was also a Brexit trick.

European Parliament Photo: A few years ago, France and Germany wanted to set up an EU army, but the United States, the boss of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, would not agree to it anyway. In short, the EU still has some way to go from a political and economic union to a single entity. In other words, the European Parliament is not a parliament of a sovereign state, but a deliberative body of an international organization. This is important because since it says in its policy report that "China and Taiwan are not subordinate to each other", then we have to see whether its rhetoric is valid? Some people say that the report of the European Parliament shows that "the European Union is overturning UN Resolution 2758". This is clearly muddying the waters. You know, the European Parliament doesn't even represent the EU as a whole. At the top, it is a so-called representative body of public opinion, and its functions are much lower than that of parliaments or similar organizations in many countries. And even if the EU is not a sovereign state and a member of the United Nations, what right does it have to overturn UN resolutions?

The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metzola, therefore, Uncle Hai personally feels that this resolution of the European Parliament is mainly to make us disgusted. Some sovereign countries in Europe cannot say that some politicians in the parliaments of some sovereign countries in Europe dare not say that they violated China's sovereignty and violated the bounds of the line, and this time the European Parliament will release it. That's a stinking one! They also took some anti-China politicians in the name of "European parliamentarians" or some guys who took advantage of the opportunity to rush to the island of Taiwan. 2

This report from the European Parliament, of course, also shows certain politicians in Europeignorance of history and reality, as well as a dark face that vainly attempts to obstruct the great cause of China's reunification.

On February 16, local time, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau and Minister of the Communist Party of China, should meet with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Borrell on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference. However, if these ignorant politicians take a look at the Taiwan authorities, no matter who comes to power, whether they dare to carry out the so-called "constitutional amendment" or whether they dare to "legalize" or not, they will understand that after taking office, they will not dare to go beyond the thunder pond by half a step after taking office. If you are in Europe, you should go to Potsdam, Germany. Recently, during the 60th Munich Security Conference, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau and head of the Communist Party of China, delivered a keynote speech at the "China Special Session", directly saying that Taiwan has always been a part of China. In 1943, China, the United States and Britain jointly issued the Cairo Declaration, which clearly stipulated that Taiwan stolen by Japan should be returned to China. Article 8 of the 1945 Potsdam Proclamation, which aimed to end World War II, stated that "the provisions of the Cairo Declaration shall be implemented". United Nations documents more clearly position Taiwan as a province of China. All this fully shows that the Taiwan issue is 100 percent China's internal affair. Taiwan has never been, and will never be, a country. This is a basic historical fact and the consensus of the international community. During the meeting, Wang Yi should also meet with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell. Wang Yi opened by saying that "China and the EU, as stabilizing forces in the world, should work together to address challenges". At this time, the European Parliament has come up with such a report that adds a lot of interference in China's internal affairs, what good will it do to China-EU relations? Obviously, there is no benefit at all. 3

As far as China is concerned, the reunification of the motherland is a great cause, a matter that must be unswervingly promoted, and a historical trend. This is incomparable to the process of European integration. Some people in Europe, I would like to ask, are they thinking about European integration? Thinking of European unity? Otherwise, why sit in the seat of the European Parliament? Why don't you learn about Brexit?

The EU wants European integration, but the problem is that Europe was not a unified country before. European integration requires the joint efforts of all European countries. However, Taiwan is a province of China, and the mainland and Taiwan are a whole, and the name is China, which is the consensus of the vast majority of sovereign countries in the world, including EU member states, and is also written into the United Nations documents. The blind tossing and turning of some people in the European Parliament cannot change these international consensuses, nor can they change the process of China's reunification. Just as Wang Yi popularized to all Europeans in Munich - "As a problem left over from China's civil war, Taiwan will eventually return to the embrace of the motherland, and the two sides of the strait will surely achieve reunification." This is the firm will of the 1.4 billion Chinese people, and it is also an inevitable trend of history. If all European countries adhere to the one-China policy, they should make it clear as soon as possible that they "support China's peaceful reunification."
