Ping An Property & Casualty Fire Experimental Base is a full-scale experimental base for disaster prevention of national tunnel and underground space engineering. It is understood that Ping An Property & Casualty Fire Experimental Base was officially inaugurated on April 20, 2018, and is the first fire experimental base in the domestic insurance industry, which is specially used for fire-fighting equipment and new technology testing, fire experiments, and support for fire-fighting training for Ping An customers. While comprehensively using theoretical analysis, model tests, numerical simulations and other methods, the base attaches great importance to full-scale physical tests, so as to ensure the effectiveness, safety and reliability of the fire protection system and help improve the level of disaster prevention and mitigation in the whole society. At present, the base has been visited and guided by the Ministry of Emergency Management of the People's Republic of China, the Shanghai Municipal Emergency Bureau, the Shanghai Institute of Safety Production and other provinces and cities.
Under the leadership of the staff of the base, the volunteers successively visited and experienced the fire simulation sites such as the subway track area laboratory, the underground comprehensive pipe gallery fire laboratory, the disaster prevention and mitigation laboratory of ancient buildings, and the fire test platform of the data room, and combined with different scenarios to have a vivid experience and in-depth understanding of fire safety knowledge such as fire hazards, fire disposal, and fire escape.
In the fire experiment observation session, the volunteers learned the high-pressure water mist fire extinguishing method that can instantly extinguish the fire in the equipment room, the turbofan fire extinguishing method for ancient buildings, and the common outdoor transformer turbofan fire extinguishing methods in the city. When the raging fire in front of them, which was more than one person high, dissipated invisibly under the suppression of scientific and technological equipment, everyone applauded.
