On February 27th, the 2024 Hisense Hitachi Partner Conference with the theme of "Perseverance, Intelligent Change, and Innovation" was held in Hangzhou International Expo Center. During the annual meeting, ICON.com and "* Air Conditioning Information" magazine exchanged views with Xu Wei, a national engineering survey and design master, China Academy of Building Research, and President of the Institute of Building Environment and Energy, to hear his views on the future development of Hisense Hitachi and the future development of the HVAC industry under the background of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
1. From a technical point of view, how do you view Hisense Hitachi's contribution to the industry in the past 20 years?
Xu Wei: In the past 20 years, Hisense Hitachi has developed by leaps and bounds, and we can clearly see that its sales scale has grown from small to large. Especially in terms of technological innovation, I am most impressed by about two aspects: one product is multi-online air conditioner, which is relatively early, and more importantly, it is the first domestic water ring multi-online product, which is very suitable for this kind of super high-rise apartments and some buildings with decentralized control requirements. In addition, Hisense Hitachi also has some unique R&D technologies in the application scenarios of low ambient temperature of multi-online, which support some of his products to provide heat at lower ambient temperatures. This product has now been well used in cold regions, and individual products have also been applied to severe cold regions.
Another product is Hisense's positive pressure liquid float frequency conversion centrifuge. The introduction of positive pressure liquid flotation, a low-speed friction compressor technology, has its own uniqueness, and I personally think that it may run more smoothly and at the same time be a little simpler. At present, this technology is also constantly improving, and I believe that this technology will also be better applied with continuous improvement.
2. Under the dual carbon strategy, how do you think China's heating and air conditioning industry will develop in the future? What kind of business will have a greater opportunity?
Xu Wei: The current international environment and domestic economic situation have undergone profound changes, so in the context of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, our HVAC industry still has huge development opportunities, and of course it is also facing challenges. This kind of opportunity requires our HVAC industry, especially the product manufacturing industry, to change and adapt to its changes, I personally think there are probably two requirements.
First, we need to make our products richer and more diversified, especially in terms of improving energy efficiency, which is energy saving and carbon reduction.
Second, we need to adapt to the energy transition. In the process of building our new energy system, the traditional energy industry is an application scenario of the terminal, and with the change of the new energy system, we will constantly adjust the structure of our products to adapt to the development of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality in the future. At the same time, with the increase of renewable energy, especially distributed renewable energy in the future, our HVAC will also adjust our product structure with such a development trend. That is to say, in the future, HVAC products should pay more attention to its electrification and green electricity, so as to achieve the purpose of low carbon.
These are all developing trends. As an enterprise in the HVAC industry, we must always pay attention to this change and development trend, constantly innovate our own products, and at the same time do a good job in the overall solution of the enterprise to provide users and consumers with a better experience.
