Among the many **, the call for the "resurrection" of the milgauss type is not small. This collection, which came out in the 50s of the last century, is characterized by excellent anti-magnetic properties. After more than half a century of ups and downs, the 2007 model has left a deep impression on players with its unique "green glass". More than ten years after its launch, Green Glass finally announced its discontinuation in 2023, which inevitably made many loyal fans regret.

However, according to the brand's official classification, the Oyster Perpetual is a "classic" series, that is, like the Datejust, Day-Date and 1908, they are all dress watches, and strictly speaking, they are not in the category of sports "three treasures".

Take the most prestigious "Green Water Ghost" as an example, it has undergone three iterations and upgrades in the past 20 years: it is the 2005 ref16610LV, 2010 ref116610LV vs 2020 ref126610lv。In the more than ten years since the launch of green glass, no iterative upgrades have been carried out. The brand only added a new colorway in 2014, and the first model ref116,400** was retained. From the perspective of the product cycle, this "ultra-long standby" product should be at the end of its life, and it is reasonable to stop production. "Unexpectedly", Rolex did not launch any successors.
In 2023, Rolex will not only cut the Magnet series, but also the Cellini. The ensuing 1908 model, also positioned in the formal style and featuring a *** case and leather strap, is considered the successor to Cellini's collection. Cellini was "famous" but still "alive".

Back in 1956, the first generation of the Griddice type ref6451 already has an anti-magnetic performance of 1000 gauss, and this standard has been used in successive generations of works. The same is true for green glass, which is also claimed to have an anti-magnetic properties of 1000 gauss, according to the brand. However, according to actual tests, the game can withstand the influence of a magnetic field of 7000 gauss, and it is clear that Rolex is too "humble" in its promotion of performance.
What is the concept of Omega Aqua Terra 150M "Hornet" 7000 Gauss anti-magnetic? If it is placed in 2007, when the product came out, it is the first echelon level. However, with the change of times, the anti-magnetic performance of green glass has lagged behind similar products. Not to mention that the Aqua Terra 150m "Hornet" released by Omega in 2013 was the first to achieve 15,000 gauss anti-magnetism, which is the Tudor Biwan ceramic model of the brother brand and the new version of the 2023 "Little Red Shield", which also passed the "Master Chronometer Certification" of 15,000 gauss anti-magnetism.

This also means that anti-magnetic is just an additional feature of these two products. Rolex Green Glass, which is positioned as a professional anti-magnetic watch, is a bit embarrassing because its main performance is not as good as the "additional performance" of its competitors. If the grid magnetic type is re-emerged, it is imperative to strengthen the anti-magnetic performance. A sportier, more professional look. The latest addition to the series, the 2023 Ingenieur Automatic 40, is modeled after the 1976 Zunda-designed Ingenieur SL, and has managed to capture a piece of the hot "sports watch" market.
