According to the Russian Satellite Agency on March 7, the results of a poll conducted by the British YouGov research company for the German Press Agency showed that about 60% of Germans oppose the "Taurus" cruise missile to Ukraine.
The data show that a total of 58% of respondents are against the supply of such missiles to Ukraine, and 31% of them are fundamentally against any military assistance to Ukraine. According to the survey, only 28 percent of respondents support the offer of Taurus long-range cruise missiles, and another 14 percent of Germans have not yet made their position clear.
The number of people who support the supply of Taurus missiles to Ukraine is decreasing: at the beginning of February, 31% of respondents supported the supply, and 49% were against.
The poll noted that 72% of respondents supported German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's position on the inadmissibility of sending troops to Ukraine. At the same time, 16% of respondents believe that ** should be open to the issue, and only 2% of the population are in favor of immediate troops.
The poll was conducted from March 1 to March 5 and was attended by 2,169 people.
According to the report, on March 1, Simonyan, the editor-in-chief of Russia Today TV, released the audio and text of a phone call between four senior German officers. The four discussed how to provide Ukraine with Taurus missiles and teach the Ukrainian military to attack the Crimean bridge with such missiles without crossing the "red line".
