Dear parents, hello everyone, welcome to today's Qinghui talk program, I am Zhong Qinghui from the Daliang Xinji Third Road Psychological Service Center in Shunde, Guangdong. Today we're going to talk about one of the core symptoms of people with ADHD: impulsivity.
Director Zhong Qinghui pointed out that these children often have poor self-control and are prone to losing control of their emotions and behaviors. They lack patience, can't wait, and have a relatively low tolerance for setbacks. Moreover, these wrongful behaviors are often reversed and difficult to correct.
Impulsiveness manifests differently depending on age. In early childhood, children may push and hit other children for snatching toys. And when they reach school age, impulsive behavior can lead to their inability to follow discipline and rules, conflict with peers, and even be prone to accidents; Cognitive impulsiveness can lead to learning lapses.
As psychological service workers, we need to pay attention to the mental health of these children, help them build good self-control, and cultivate their patience and frustration tolerance. Let's work together to create a better future for these children.
