According to Bloomberg News on March 5, Tesla CEO Elon Musk is no longer the richest person in the world for the first time in more than nine months.
Musk lost the top spot on the Bloomberg billionaires list to Jeff Bezos because of Tesla's 4th 72%。Musk now has a net worth of $197.7 billion; Bezos' fortune is $200.3 billion.
This is the first time since 2021 that Bezos, the 60-year-old founder of Amazon Inc., has topped the Bloomberg rich list.
The wealth gap between the 52-year-old Musk and Bezos, who at one point differed by $142 billion, has been narrowing as Amazon and Tesla run in opposite directions. While both companies belong to the so-called "Big Seven" that drives the U.S., Amazon shares have more than doubled since the end of 2022 and are just one step away from all-time highs. And compared to the peak reached in 2021, Tesla's stock price is currently around 50%. (Compiled by Yang Xinpeng).
