Han style and Tang rhyme, humanities and prosperity - Nanliu Village, this is my hometown. Some time ago, when I went home and saw a street sign at the entrance of the village, there was a straight and spacious cement road in front of me, neat brick houses on both sides, and cars flowed endlessly on the road.
The name of Nanliu Village also has some legends, it is rumored that Lao Tzu preached the tower during the day, and stayed in Huangshan Palace at night, when passing through our village, the old folks tried their best to stay, but in the end they did not stay, everyone sighed "difficult to stay, Nanliu", the interpretation of the difficult word is not good, to replace it with the south, and finally the village was named "Nanliu Village". When I was a child, every time I heard this rumor, looking at the dirt houses and dirt roads in the village, I would always think, if it were me, I would not stay.
When it rains, the dirt road becomes a "cement road", a road that is really made of a mixture of water and mud, so everyone in our village has a pair of "mud shoes", otherwise they can't go out on a rainy day. When a group of children wear "mud shoes" to go, there are naughty people who jump into the mud puddle, splash others with mud, and everyone will compare whose "mud shoes" look good at school, if you wear a pair of adult style "second-hand mud shoes" at this time, then you must not be able to raise your head in front of your friends.
Sometimes the rain is heavier, and because the front of the house is built relatively high, part of the road becomes a small river, at this time we use a small wooden board in the middle of a square hole, take a small stick to connect, wear a small board in the stick to make an oar, the rubber band is tightened and put into the water, the small wooden boat will run away, I had a particularly well-made small wooden boat, the children in the village are familiar with me and line up to play, really over the addiction of being a big brother.
When it rains, the most feared thing is to work in the fields. I remember one year when the apples were ripe, and before I could pick them, there was a sudden heavy rain, and my mother was worried in front of the door. But it happened that my father was still out of town and did not return home, at that time there were no three jumpers at home, and the goods were all pulled by a manual two-wheeled frame car, with how he a woman and two children waded on the "cement road" to snatch back the apples from God.
The rain stopped for a while, but it was still dark, and my mother knew that she couldn't wait any longer, so she called my sister and me to get on the cart and rush into the field. Only after picking four baskets of more than 300 catties of apples to fill the rack car did we dare to stop and drink saliva. When the rack car was full of goods, the head of the wheel was warped, and it was necessary to press it down to move forward normally, but the ground was too slippery and the feet were not forced, and the load was too much to press down for half a day. She decisively put on the "reins", gritted her teeth and exerted force, and the two of us pushed hard in the back, and the straight rope was embedded in my mother's shoulder, and I only remember crying in the mud along the way while pushing the cart.
Now that the "mud shoes" have been renamed rain boots, it is difficult to find a pure dirt road in the village; I didn't see any children making "wooden boats" again, obviously the remote-controlled car was much more fun than it; Later, after going to college, I also tried an old frame car that our family had not used for a long time, filled with four large baskets, on the flat cement road, I had to use all my strength to pull it, until then I really understood what it means to "women are weak, mothers are strong".
Looking at the spacious and straight cement road in front of me, I have to sigh at the rapid change of the world, the increasing prosperity of the country, and the happiness and well-being of the people. Instantly, I felt as if some "unsatisfactory" was no longer so important, maybe this is the unique ** power of my hometown. (Wang Kai).
