In early March, Adobe launched Project Music GenAI Control, an experimental audio AI tool that can create** and other audio based on text prompts, which can then be fine-tuned in the same interface. Adobe recommends starting with rock, dance, or jazz and creating these types through text input. Users can enter more prompts to adjust the speed, structure, increase strength, length, remix entire sections, or create loops. Adobe says it can even convert to audio based on a reference melody. Adobe also says that the resulting ** is safe for commercial use. "What's most exciting about these new tools is that they don't just generate audio, they also shape it, adjust and edit it by giving creators the same depth of control that is the best kind of pixel-level control," said Nicholas Bryan, research scientist at Adobe. The project was developed in collaboration with the University of California, San Diego and Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science. At present, the project is still in the experimental stage.
