In May 1948, when the situation was turbulent, I was also the operator of the ** historical account, and I broke the peace. Gao Cunxin, as the commander of the Second Brigade of the North China Artillery Corps, suddenly received a letter from the headquarters ordering him to go to Xibaipo to report on the situation of the artillery of the North China Military Region.
Excited, Gao Cunxin did not hesitate to embark on a trip to Xibaipo after a simple tidying up. On the way, his heart was full of questions: ** How mysterious is the military commission, and *** will *** meet him in person? Thinking of these, Gao Cun's confidence burned quickly and accelerated forward. Half a day later, Gao Cunxin arrived at Xibaipo Village, and a staff officer was already waiting at the entrance of the village. Under the guidance of the staff officer, Gao Cunxin settled down first and prepared for the next day's meeting. After dinner, Gao Cunxin happened to meet Chen Ruiting, who was also a reporter. During the chat, the two learned that *** would listen to the report in person. Gao Cunxin couldn't help but ask if he could see *** Chen Ruiting replied not necessarily. Gao Cunxin insisted that if he couldn't see ***, he would ask *** for advice, whether he could meet with ***. Chen Ruiting agreed.
Next, Gao Cunxin and Chen Ruiting shared their experiences of participating in the revolution. Gao Cunxin was born in a scholarly family in Northeast China, and his grandfather was a tutor in the late Qing Dynasty. After the fall, the family moved to Beiping, he was admitted to the Whampoa Military Academy, with the determination to recover his hometown, and after graduation, he entered the first artillery brigade of the ** army. However, he did not yearn for the conditions of the ** army, and insisted on returning to the Northeast Army and recovering the lost territory.
After entering the Northeast Army, he participated in many battles after the Lugou Bridge Incident. However, in the face of the onslaught of the Japanese army, the Northeast Army was defeated, and his unit lost contact with its superiors for five days. The outcome of the defeat left him in distress, but the news of the Eighth Route Army's victory at Pingxingguan reinvigorated him. Compared with the victory of the Eighth Route Army, he gradually realized that the Eighth Route Army was the real anti-Japanese force, and only this army could realize his dream of recovering his hometown.
As a result, Gao Cunxin left the Northeast Army and defected to the headquarters of the Eighth Route Army in Yan'an. Originally, he felt that his quality was poor and wanted to study at Kang University for a period of time, but he was appointed as a teacher. Although he felt incompetent at first, through his studies, he made great progress in his thinking, and eventually joined the Communist Party and became a "model cadre".
After communicating with Chen Ruiting, Gao Cunxin met with *** the next day. The leaders of the Central Military Commission had planned to listen to their reports in person, but because of the work meeting, they could only be asked to write a written report. Gao Cunxin and Chen Ruiting agreed to come down. After questioning, they mentioned whether they could ask *** for permission if they couldn't see ***, and told them not to take up *** too much time, preferably no more than five minutes. Led by ***, the two went to ***'s residence. **Shake hands with them cordially, but only communicate through written reports due to meetings, etc. Gao Cunxin and Chen Ruiting try their best to control their time, so as not to occupy too much precious time.
Gao Cunxin was deeply impressed by this meeting, not only as a great leader, but also as an elder and a comrade. This exchange is not only full of emotion, but also an affirmation of my own journey. At the end, send them to the gate of the hospital and say goodbye cordially.
This is an important experience, a moment of communication between ordinary people and great people, a testimony to history, and a deep and touching memory.
