Reading guide:During the Red Army period, there were three fierce generals under the command of Mr. He, in addition to the "one-armed general" He Bingyan, there was also a "one-eyed general" Li Wenqing.
Li Wenqing was born in a poor family, and his parents were both peasants, and in order to survive, he could only rent the land of the landlord's family, and was bullied and oppressed. As the saying goes, children from poor families are in charge of their families at an early age, and in order to lighten the burden on his parents, Li Wenqing went to work in the landlord's house from a very young age, herding cattle, cutting wood, and farming.
In a blink of an eye, Li Wenqing reached the age of marriage, but the Li family was so poor that his parents couldn't afford to marry a wife for him. In the end, under his father's Zhang Luo, Li Wenqing married his cousin Zhou.
In the old society, poor families could not afford to marry a daughter-in-law, and in desperation, relatives often intermarried with each other, among which marriage between cousins was the most common.
Although it was an arranged marriage, Li Wenqing and Zhou lived happily after they got married. The husband is hardworking and capable, the wife is virtuous and patronage, and although the life of the family is hard, it is also happy. But there were unforeseen circumstances, and not long after the two got married, a major drought swept through Hubei, and the land rented by the Li family was not harvested.
When the day of rent payment, the landlord bully came to the door many times to demand the tenant rent, and threatened to occupy the Li family's house if the tenant rent could not be called again. In order to earn money to pay rent, Li Wenqing could only leave his newlywed wife and go to the city alone to work to earn money. When he arrived in the city, Li Wenqing was frugal, worked hard, and finally scraped together enough money, but when he rushed back to the village, he got the news that his newlywed wife was occupied by the young master of the landlord's family.
Li Wenqing, who was furious, immediately came to the door and wanted to take his wife home, but in that lawless old society, the landlord bully would not take a poor boy in his eyes at all, and directly let the thugs at home beat him out. When he returned home, Li Wenqing, who was covered in injuries, refused to give up, and took a kitchen knife to go to the landlord's house again, but fortunately one of his uncles arrived in time and stopped him.
This uncle advised Li Wenqing not to be impulsive, these landlord bullies are ruthless, if they go rashly, if they don't come back and don't say anything, maybe they will lose their lives, and it is not too late for the husband to take revenge for ten years, and he will stay in the green mountains, not afraid of running out of firewood. Under the persuasion of his family, Li Wenqing temporarily gave up revenge, but in his heart, a ball of anger burned.
In 1930, when the Red Army came to Hubei, Li Wenqing heard that this was a team of poor people, and he was the master of the poor people, so he immediately went to join the Red Army. After joining the Red Army, Li Wenqing turned all the anger in his heart against the reactionaries and landlords and bullies into motivation, fought bravely and tenaciously on the battlefield, and soon became a squad leader and platoon leader.
During this period, Li Wenqing once led a team back to the village to seek revenge on the landlord bully, but the landlord bully learned that the Red Army was coming, and fled into the city overnight, but he had no choice but to burn down the landlord's house. Li Wenqing acted on his own initiative, and after the news of the communiqué's personal vendetta spread, he was punished by the troops.
The instructor also approached Li Wenqing and told him that the Red Army was for the poor people of the world to become masters of their own affairs, not for personal revenge, and if everyone wanted to take revenge, then the Red Army would be no different from the reactionary army. After this incident, Li Wenqing's thinking made great progress, and his ability to fight wars became greater and greater, and he soon became a company commander.
After the start of the Long March, the Red Army left Li Wenqing's hometown, and the landlord bullies took the opportunity to return to the village. In retaliation, they seized Li Wenqing's house and kicked his parents out, and since then, the two old men have lost contact with Li Wenqing. And his new wife, Zhou, was also sold to others by the landlord bully.
In the Long March, Li Wenqing, who dared to fight tough battles, was arranged to be the commander of the regiment under the division commander He Bingyan, and the two often led the death squad to charge and fight a bloody way for the large army, so the two also became the number one fierce general under the command of Mr. He.
In the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Li Wenqing served as the commander of the 715th Regiment of the 358th Brigade of the 120th Division and the commander of the Second Army Division of the Yanbei Military Region. During the Liberation War, he was promoted to chief of staff of the 3rd Column of the Northwest Field Army and chief of staff of the 3rd Army of the First Field Army, and was awarded the rank of major general in 1955 and became the founding general.
After becoming famous, Li Wenqing returned to his hometown after more than 20 years of absence to visit his relatives who were still alive. Hearing that Li Wenqing had become the founding general of the People's Republic of China, the villagers were very happy and came to visit him one after another. The landlord bully in the village back then has now become an ordinary old peasant, and when he heard that Li Wenqing had returned to his hometown as a big official, he thought that he was looking for himself to settle accounts, and he was so frightened that he committed suicide at home. When the villagers learned of this situation, they all said that he deserved to forcibly occupy Li Wenqing's newlywed wife and die.
At that time, the Zhou family had also remarried, and when he heard that Li Wenqing had gone home, he came to the door to admit his mistake, saying that he was also forced by bullies back then, and he couldn't help himself. Li Wenqing has long been relieved of this, and now that he has grown into a senior general of the People's Liberation Army, he will naturally not embarrass the Zhou family. He comforted Zhou and said, "You are also a victim, live a good life in the future." Before leaving, he also left a sum of money for Zhou.
After returning to his hometown this time, Li Wenqing "avenged" the revenge of taking his wife back then, and he no longer had any worries in his heart, and began to devote himself to his work. After that, he worked diligently for decades in the posts of deputy commander of the Sichuan Military Region and deputy commander of the Chengdu Military Region, and made outstanding contributions to the military and national defense of New China. In 1999, Li Wenqing died in Chengdu at the age of 89.
