Until 24 o'clock on June 30, the main stream section of the Minjiang River from Yanping District, Nanping City to Jingang, Changle District, Fuzhou, except for recreational fishing and recreational fishing, all fishing operations are prohibited.

This year is the eighth year of the implementation of the fishing ban system on the Minjiang River. The relevant person in charge of the Fujian Provincial Marine and Fishery Law Enforcement Corps said that the implementation of the Minjiang River fishing ban system and the strengthening of illegal fishing supervision are of great significance for the comprehensive conservation of aquatic biological resources in the Minjiang River and the restoration and improvement of the ecological function of the waters.

During the fishing ban period in the waters of the Minjiang River, fishery law enforcement agencies at all levels implemented all-round and precise supervision of "water, land and air". In the past three years, a total of 698 law enforcement actions have been carried out, 23 administrative punishment cases have been investigated and prosecuted, of which 1 case has been transferred to the public security organs for criminal responsibility, and 8,792 illegal fishing gear (m) have been banned.

In the next stage, the Fujian Provincial Marine and Fishery Law Enforcement Corps will organize fishery law enforcement agencies at all levels to implement the normalized law enforcement inspections of the fishing ban on the Minjiang River, and organize joint law enforcement actions in a timely manner according to the different characteristics of the three stages of fishing ban supervision, and severely crack down on various violations of laws and regulations such as electricity, drugs and explosives in accordance with laws and regulations, clean up and rectify all kinds of illegal fishing gear, and ensure the continuous improvement of the ecological environment of the Minjiang River.
