According to South Korea's "Yonhap News Agency", South Korean Defense Minister Shin Won-hyun once again said shocking words at a press conference held by the South Korean Ministry of National Defense, saying that North Korea used millions of rounds of ammunition to exchange a lot of food and technology for Russia, and its strength has been greatly improved, and it is even possible to challenge South Korea in force.
So far, 6,700 North Korean containers have been delivered to Russia, including more than 3 million rounds of 152 mm or 500,000 rounds of 122 mm rockets, Shin said. Since the beginning of this month, Russia has sent 9,000 containers to North Korea, nearly 30 percent more than from North Korea to Russia. Although the contents of the containers have not yet been determined, cereals account for the largest proportion.
At this point, it is already obvious that the South Korean Ministry of Defense did not provide any conclusive evidence, but only exchanged three million missiles to the DPRK with food and military technology.
As for why the South Korean side is engaged in these small moves, it is naturally also to arouse the uneasiness of Western countries, and then use the power of Europe and the United States to interfere with the arms cooperation between Russia and the DPRK.
The original intention of Western countries was to send a million artillery pieces to Ukraine by March. But the actual delivery was not even half of what was originally promised. Ukrainian Defense Minister Umerov said that the Ukrainian army must fire 6,000 rounds of ammunition a day, while in real life, they fire only 2,000 rounds.
Especially in the Battle of Avdeyevka, due to the shortage of ammunition, the difference in the number of artillery between Russia and Ukraine was 10:1, and most of the Ukrainian tanks and infantry were defeated before they could confront the Russian army head-on.
The most famous example is the 3rd Brigade of the Ukrainian Army, which rushed to Avdeyevka to support the Ukrainian defense after the battle, but was heavily damaged by ** artillery at the coking plant and was forced to retreat to the underground passage, unable to move forward.
To make matters worse, due to the defeat of the Russian army in the Battle of Avdeyevka, Western countries are even more reluctant to provide more ammunition to Ukraine. In the eyes of Western countries, the Ukrainian army has not yet shown them "investment in them", which means that the large amount of ammunition they have supplied to Ukraine will be in vain.
It was also for the sake of providing arms to Israel that the United States stopped supplying arms to Ukraine. And after the $113 billion in aid to Ukraine was used up, even a large amount of aid to the Ukrainian army was stopped, which made the shortage of ammunition for the Ukrainian army more and more serious.
If not for the Ukrainians to get more ammunition, but for more victories, then it is necessary to consume the Russians' combat power as much as possible. Reducing the production of existing Russian artillery is also South Korea's intention now.
North Korea was able to suppress South Korea with a nuclear bomb, but now it is cornered. With the joint statement of Russia and North Korea, North Korea has not only successfully fulfilled the tasks of its military satellites, but is also already revamping its own air defense warning system. As Russia and the DPRK further strengthen military cooperation, the most cutting-edge Soviet aircraft such as Su-35 fighters and S-400 anti-aircraft missiles will arrive in North Korea one after another, which is by no means the result that South Korea wants to see.
However, this practice of the Koreans does not seem to have much effect. The United States has repeatedly issued threats against the armed forces of Russia and the DPRK to impose sanctions on a joint basis, but it has not achieved the expected results. The United States is not unwilling, but it is also of no use.
The remarks of the ROK defense minister will only arouse the dissatisfaction of some Western countries and will not have a big impact on relations between Russia and the DPRK.
