Many patients will question what our lawyer's fees are used for, whether we only collect money and do nothing, so today I will share with you our case handling process to see how many things we have to do to handle a case.
First of all, after receiving the consultation, we will understand some basic facts of the case with the client, including but not limited to the patient's age, the patient's underlying disease, the patient's current situation, the hospital's handling attitude, whether the medical records are sealed, whether there is an autopsy, etc. (So it's best to explain these issues in one breath when you consult.)
After that, we will collect and organize the patient's medical records and upload them to the expert database for medical record evaluation. Many cases are stuck at this step for two reasons: first, the person concerned does not trust us and feels that we may cheat him out of his personal information; Second, we have only seven or eight experts in our team, but there are at least ten or more cases to be evaluated every day, and the experts are too busy. Therefore, if there is a friend who is undergoing a medical record evaluation, please wait patiently.
If the case assessment can be done, then we will have a preliminary discussion with the client to inform the client of the fault of the hospital and the subsequent measures to protect their rights. If it is not suitable for litigation, then we will also give corresponding advice on rights protection.
After that, we have to write a statement (it is difficult, we have to consult a lot of information for each copy, and write until we are bald) and choose an appraisal center for identification.
After the appraisal results come out, we have to carefully study the appraisal report, and then invite the appraisal experts, lawyers, and paralegals to hold a meeting to analyze and demonstrate the appraisal report.
Then there is the routine part of handling the case, ** preparation, ** word writing, argumentation meeting, etc., some cases will also involve appeals, if appeals, you also need to prepare evidence for appeals, and conduct appeal analysis.
After the judgment is handed down, we will proceed to the final step, the recovery of the compensation.
Is this part of the case handling my simple colloquial expression, the same as you imagined?
