On March 1, the 3 15 roundtable discussion on the fulfillment of social responsibility by direct selling enterprises sponsored by the State Administration for Market Regulation ** Supervision and Inspection and Anti-Unfair Competition Bureau was held in Beijing. 62 direct selling enterprises signed a letter of commitment to make a self-discipline commitment to the whole society to "standardize operation and promote assured consumption".
The relevant person in charge of the regulatory department pointed out in the discussion that effectively protecting the legitimate rights and interests of consumers is one of the primary main responsibilities of direct selling enterprises. Since the promulgation and implementation of the "Guidelines for the Fulfillment of Social Responsibility by Direct Selling Enterprises" in 2013, all direct selling enterprises have made certain achievements in accordance with the requirements and focusing on legal responsibility, economic responsibility, moral responsibility and social responsibility.
During the discussion, the direct selling enterprises unanimously expressed that they would resolutely put an end to and resist illegal acts such as pyramid schemes and affiliation, strengthen internal management and risk control, properly handle consumer disputes, and continue to fulfill their social responsibilities while realizing their own standardized and orderly development, and play an active role in employment and entrepreneurship, promoting consumption, rural revitalization, poverty alleviation, healthy China and attracting foreign investment.
During the discussion, the representative of the direct selling enterprise read out the "Letter of Commitment to Standardize the Self-discipline of Direct Selling Enterprises", solemnly promised: abide by laws and regulations, resist affiliated operations, put an end to pyramid marketing fraud, strengthen internal management, strengthen risk control, actively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, and abide by business ethics. The scene reviewed the positive results of direct selling enterprises in fulfilling their social responsibilities in the past 10 years, and 20 direct selling enterprises announced typical cases of fulfilling social responsibility. The beneficiaries of the six case projects shared their personal benefits from relevant public welfare and charity activities and the positive changes brought to the local economic and social development.
The Department of Consumption Promotion of the Ministry of Commerce, the relevant departments of the State Administration for Market Regulation, some local market supervision departments and relevant direct selling enterprise managers participated in the event.
