A rough rumor suggests that the Galaxy S25 series will only offer the Exynos 2500 chipset

The Galaxy S25 series is still 10 months or more away from the Galaxy Unpack launch in January 2025. However, this does not mean that the rumors will be stopped, as a new bold and very rough rumor has surfaced claiming that Samsung's next big event will be full adoption of the Exynos 2500, and we know that this is not the case, let me tell you why.

In case you don't remember, Samsung and Qualcomm have a multi-year agreement on the use of Snapdragon chipsets, which means that Samsung will enjoy the best chipsets for years to come. So, it's clear that the Galaxy S25 will have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, at least to some extent. However, the rumors do not believe the same thing.

Now, the rumors don't completely shy away from the idea of using a Snapdragon chipset in a Galaxy phone; It just claims that they will be limited to the Galaxy Z-series, which does make sense, but considering that the Galaxy S is mainstream, and the Z-series is based on the S-series, it doesn't make sense to exclude the Galaxy S25 series from using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. Of course, it's too early to say anything, but this rumor makes me uncomfortable, especially after both companies have signed multi-year agreements.

Even if you consider that the Exynos 2400 actually performs well compared to the Snapdragon, it still doesn't make sense to prevent Galaxy S25 users from enjoying the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and everything it has to offer. But then again, it's too early to talk about the future and how Samsung will move forward. What we do know is that there is a huge amount of information that is missing, to say the least, that information will be available in the coming weeks or months.

Whatever the case may be, I highly recommend that you take it with a salt and drink about it, because at the end of the day, it all depends on Samsung's decision. At the time of writing, neither the Exynos 2500 nor the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 are final, nor are the Galaxy S25 series, which means that in the end, we may end up with something completely different from what we guessed.
