Some people say: There is a memory that can be long, there is a long-term long, there is a kind of love that can accompany you for a lifetime even though it is not around - this is the father's love I have.

Founding Colonel Wang Yukun.

When I was born in 1956, my dad wasn't with me. At that time, he served as an adviser to the Chinese People's Liberation Army Advisory Group for Aiding Vietnam to Resist France in Vietnam, served as the head of the academy group, assisted the Vietnamese army in drawing up battle plans, assisted in organizing the implementation of border campaigns, completely annihilated eight entire battalions of the French army, killed and captured more than 8,000 people, won the war against the French invaders, and helped Vietnam establish a regular army.

In 1962, when I was in elementary school, my father led the 55th Division to ** to participate in the Sino-Indian border self-defense counterattack. Severe altitude sickness and high blood pressure of 280 did not crush my father. He insisted on being on the front line, commanding the 55th Division to defeat the Indian army in the Battle of Xishankou and achieve a complete victory. In this battle, three brigades of the Indian Army were annihilated and the commander of the Indian Army's Major General Haul was killed. Singh and more than 7,400 officers and soldiers, and more than 3,500 prisoners. ** Praise the 55th Division for "going fast, fighting well, and withdrawing well." Mobilize while walking in the car, walk thousands of kilometers, and start fighting without rest as soon as you get out of the car. "Say that the 55th Division is a unit that can stand the test. As a result of this war, there has been no more fighting on the Sino-Indian border for 60 years.

In 1969, when I was in junior high school, the Soviet Union continued to send troops to invade our territory, which led to the deterioration of relations between the two countries, and armed conflicts on the border occurred from time to time. In order to cope with the possible attack of the Soviet Union at any time, and to prevent the Soviet Union from invading China from the Hexi Corridor area, it would cause serious consequences of cutting Xinjiang off from the hinterland. Dad was ordered by the CCP ** and the Military Commission to go to the Hexi Corridor to form the 19th Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

In 1970, when I joined the army, my father had already led all the soldiers and soldiers to build eight huge man-made mountains with other brother troops on the desert Gobi on the border between China and the Soviet Union and China and Mongolia. Its more than 20 artillery positions can fire shells enough to destroy a small town in an instant, the solid underground cement tunnels can accommodate the combat strength of two divisions, and the underground combat headquarters is fully equipped to block the attack of atomic bombs. It became an ironclad, impassable camp to block the Soviet invasion from the northwest.

In 1979, I was already a senior ** in the outpatient department of the First Hospital of the People's Liberation Army, and I was engaged in the work of saving lives and serving the people day after day. You fell ill on your way to work because of overwork and overwork. Although the Lanzhou Military Region sent the best experts and professors from the General Hospital to rescue you, due to the seriousness of your illness, you still did not escape the clutches of the disease, and a severe cerebral hemorrhage caused you to be paralyzed and quit your job. In 1980, when I joined the party, after recovering from a serious illness, you left the northwest frontier that you had guarded for more than 10 years, the troops you personally created, and the border defense positions that you personally participated in designing and building. Although you could not give up your troops in your heart, although you could not emotionally let go of those cadres and soldiers who got along day and night, and although every grass and tree on the border line was soaked with your hard work and sweat, you still obeyed the organizational arrangement and came to Xi'an and began a life of retirement.

In 1980, I was transferred to the Xi'an Army Academy and started a new job in the outpatient department of the college. You are also starting a new journey in life after your retirement. You have shouldered the important task of educating the next generation, and have given more than 3,000 lectures on revolutionary traditional education in colleges and universities, primary and secondary schools, with an audience of more than 280,000 people, and have been rated as an advanced worker and advanced individual who cares about the next generation in the country. You have been invited to participate in the Yan'an Spiritual Research Association, the Nanniwan Spiritual Research Association, the Party History Research Association and other institutions, and have gone deep into northern Shaanxi, Ningxia, Gansu, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Hubei and other places dozens of times to go deep into remote mountainous areas, enter people's homes to conduct investigations and interviews, and obtain first-hand precious historical materials.

In 1982, I was transferred to the training department to start my career as an English teacher, and you began to raise funds, desks, chairs, doors and windows, shelves and beds, books, stationery, etc., and made great efforts to build the Central Primary School of Gepai Township, Lantian County, into a Hope Primary School; Every year you will visit the school to see the children and bring the supplies they need. Over the years, you have raised more than 300,000 yuan for the construction of the school. (Gepai Township, Lantian County, was the seat of the military headquarters of the Red 25th Division and the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee in 1934.) In those years, a large number of officers and soldiers were sent to the Red Army and made great contributions to the Chinese revolution.

However, in 1982, Gepai Township was the most remote and impoverished village in Lantian County. The houses of the Central Primary School are all dilapidated buildings, there is not a single complete window in the classrooms, the roof is leaking everywhere, the blackboard is full of holes of all sizes, and many children can only use tree branches to write and count on the ground. A few years later, Gepai Township Central Primary School has undergone great changes with the support of my father, with neat walls and brand new school buildings, and children sitting in sunny classrooms, reading happily and singing happily.

In 1985, the country once again abolished the number of the 19th Army, and abolished the military headquarters and all integrated divisions. You have been entrusted by the relevant leaders to return to Hexi once again to carry out the mobilization of your old troops. At the military parade organized for you by the 56 th Division and at the forum of cadres of the 55 th Division, you could not help but burst into tears when you looked at the vigorous bodies and mighty steps of the officers and men, and listened to their attachment and love for the army. But you have a mission, and you are there to work for streamlining and reorganization.

You have not been affected by the feelings of attachment of the old troops, you have used simple and understandable truths, used the party's traditions, and used countless precedents to explain to you that we are soldiers, and we should have no words when we need to use practical actions to support the decision of the Military Commission. You have successfully fulfilled the tasks assigned by the leaders at higher levels, done a great deal of ideological and political work for the abolition of the 19th Army, and made another contribution to the smooth advancement of the disarmament process. When you returned to Xi'an by car, you couldn't help but shed tears, because you knew that the 19th Army really didn't exist this time, and your hard work, your spiritual sustenance, and your thousands of troops and horses would disappear forever with the dismantling of the 19th Army.

In 2002, computers were still very rare and expensive, and few units were equipped with them. At the age of 85, you are attracted by the computer school at the door of the dry retreat, you go to the computer school every day, and gradually become a free student of the computer school, you learn computer knowledge little by little, and understand that only the Internet can make the children in the mountain village synchronously understand the world, and only by learning the computer can the children in the mountains not lose on the starting line of modernization. You asked your son to carefully select a computer for Gepai Township Central Primary School, equipped with various accessories, and spent nearly 1,000 yuan to buy stationery and books for the children, and brought 3,000 yuan in cash to Gepai Township Central Primary School for the last time to send his love for the children. When you stand outside the window and listen to the sound of children reading aloud, your heart is filled with joy and satisfaction.

In 2005, at the age of 88, you heard the school's teacher talk about the poor accommodation conditions of the students, and once again took out 6,000 yuan to buy 41 shelf beds. When the children set up their beds and spread their bedding, their happy little faces are like blooming flowers. A pair of immature little hands write you a warm thank you letter. The smile on your face as you look at these letters will never be forgotten by me.

There is a book called "The General's Decisive Battle Is Not Just on the Battlefield". Dad, your battles have never stopped since you joined the Red Army. The battlefield ranged from the guerrilla warfare of the Red Army in northern Shaanxi to the first and second encirclement and suppression of the enemy in the Soviet area of northern Shaanxi, from the Battle of Wayaobao to the breakthrough of Huanglong Mountain, from the road to Huanxian to suppress bandits, from the original Taiping Town in Gansu to Dazhuang Fort in Ningxian County, Gansu, from the liberation of Lanzhou to the suppression of rebellion in Gannan, and then to the self-defense and counterattack on the Sino-Indian border, from the war filled with swords and swords and gunpowder smoke to the three-year natural disasters of land reclamation and farming, fishing and mining, and from the Cultural Revolution and the rebels fighting wits and courage to digging rivers and mountains, building fortifications and military fortresses. Even after you retire, you continue to gallop on the battlefield of educating the next generation.

Dad, even though you've been away from us for 13 years, I still miss you so much. At every critical juncture in my life, you don't seem to be by my side, but you are always by my side. You are my idol for life, everything you do is firmly in my heart, encouraging me, spurring me to be the best version of myself, to be a good citizen worthy of you and the people.
