Founded in June 2022, Sanyuan Aerospace is a subsidiary of Emposat, a spacecraft in-orbit operation service provider. Focusing on space operation technology, Sanyuan Aerospace has developed space operation-related payload products to operate space in-orbit services.
The company's main business is to provide on-orbit services for China's commercial space, and provide global users with space debris cleaning (deorbiting of faulty spacecraft), spacecraft on-orbit propellant refueling, spacecraft on-orbit maintenance and manufacturing services.
At present, Sanyuan Aerospace has the capabilities of space situation awareness, target measurement, and on-orbit rendezvous, which can realize orbital debris monitoring, grasping and early warning, as well as high-precision tracking and control of long arcs on the ground.
The company has preliminarily completed the design, manufacturing, and ground testing and verification of a small in-orbit service pilot test satellite, as well as related space operating payloads.
At the end of 2024, it is planned to launch a pilot test satellite with orbital debris removal capability.
In the next step, the company will develop technologies and equipment such as on-orbit refueling, on-orbit maintenance and mission expansion, and comprehensively carry out orbital debris cleaning and on-orbit operation services.
