It is said that it is natural to repay debts! But my parents were very strange. This has to start when I was a child:
Our family is rural, and we are also a relatively poor family in our village. Other uncles and uncles have had a better life than us, and for as long as I can remember, my parents have been doing some small businesses, such as selling vegetables, children's toys, etc., in short, selling some haberdashery!
In the early years, because there was no money to sell these things, they often borrowed money from these relatives and uncles as start-up capital.
I remember one time, my dad borrowed 500 yuan from his cousin, saying that he wanted to sell children's toys. During the Chinese New Year, children's toys sell well in our place. My parents bought some beautiful toys in the market and sold them in our rural market, so that they could earn a little money to buy meat for the New Year!
In this way, the start-up capital was borrowed, and the toys were sold out. But my parents seem to have forgotten about borrowing 500 yuan from others. Every time I celebrate the Chinese New Year, I remind them that they must pay back the money and have integrity. However, my parents always said that they had no money and would pay it back when they had the money, but every year during the Chinese New Year, the village would pay compensation for the occupation of the land. It's almost 1,500 yuan, and the money has been sent, but my parents still don't want to pay it back!
And so it went on for seven or eight years. The conditions of my cousin's family are getting better and better, and my parents may have thought that his cousin had long forgotten about the 500 yuan, but they didn't expect that on the night of the Chinese New Year's Eve, the cousin's daughter-in-law came to the door. When he opened his mouth, he said: Uncle, you owe us 500 yuan, when will you pay it back, it's been seven or eight years, won't there be no money! When my parents heard this, my cousin and daughter-in-law said this, and the two of them looked at each other, and their faces were flushed! My dad said I'd go get the money, and after a while, my dad stuffed 500 yuan into her hand and said embarrassedly: If you don't come to ask for it, I almost forgot about it. My cousin and daughter-in-law immediately said, uncle, next time, don't ask me to borrow money again! My dad couldn't say a word after hearing this, he just blushed all over his face!
In fact, this is not the first time that the creditor has come to our house to collect debts, there is a motorcycle repairer who has come to my house on Chinese New Year's Eve night for five or six consecutive years to ask for debts, and each time he owes not much, just 30 yuan, but my father just doesn't like to pay back, he doesn't pay back when he has no money, and he doesn't pay it back when he has money!
I often told my parents that "it is natural to repay debts", either don't borrow, or repay the borrowed money in time. If you don't have money, our brothers can help pay it back together, don't owe it for a long time, and don't pay it back, it's not good.
Because, I often borrow money and don't like to repay it, my mother's family has almost cut off contact with her, and there is only one reason why I borrowed money and didn't pay it back, and finally tore my face and didn't come and go!
