2023 Global Chip Foundry TOP10: Chinese mainland occupies 3 seats, with a market share of 11%.

Some time ago, an authoritative organization announced the global chip foundry market share in 2023.

According to the data, the turnover of the world's top ten chip foundries will reach 704.1 billion yuan in 2023, a decrease of 769%。However, the market share of these ten companies has risen to 9476%。In other words, the more concentrated the factory, the less space there is for production.

At the same time, a total of three Chinese mainland companies made the list, of which SMIC ranked fourth with a market share of 601%, down 768%;Hua Hong Group ranked fifth with a market share of 358%, down 849%;Jin Jiang International ranked ninth with a market share of 129%, down 355%。Hua Hong Group ranked fifth with a market share of 358%, down 849%;Jihong International ranks ninth with a market share of 129%, down 355%。

China's top three manufacturers together accounted for 1056%, down 033 percentage points, the overall decline is still underway, indicating that the situation is not optimistic.

Four companies in Taiwan – TSMC, UMC, Powerchip and World Advanced Semiconductor – accounted for more than 75% of the total, a significant increase from the previous year.

Only one American company, Gechip, made the list, accounting for 658%, down 894%, which indicates that the chip fusion technology of the United States lags behind China and the United States.

Notably, UMC, GE-X, and SMIC are in the first place, respectively.

Second, third and fourth, but they all have a market share of around 6%, and they can be surpassed with a little more effort.

As can be seen from the above data, the global chip foundry market is still fiercely competitive, but the ranking has not changed much: only Totah Technologies has moved up one place, and the other nine companies have remained unchanged in the rankings.

In addition, although China has been suppressed by the United States, it has not been greatly affected, especially SMIC, which has opened a large gap with GF, UMC and other companies, and even has a tendency to catch up, which has brought pressure to the United States.

By 2024, China's chip factories will begin to expand their production capacity, and the gap with the United States will widen further.
