When discussing what kind of person can be successful and what are the characteristics of successful people.
My former colleague came as soon as he opened his mouth:
Success is planned by conspiracy and trickery, and no successful person has a vain heart.
Then he gave me an example:
You see that a beautiful woman is very rich, she must have slept out;
A civil servant is promoted very quickly, either because the relationship is particularly strong, or he is particularly good at slapping the leader's sycophants or other gray methods;
A self-leading blogger can only succeed quickly if he talks about those vulgar, marginal, and bottomless topics;
If a businessman is particularly successful, there must be reasons for such transactions as cheating and cheating, and trading power and money.
I retorted to him: it is true that some people do succeed by dishonorable means, and there are many successful people who have black hearts!
But you can't jump to conclusions, only blackening can succeed, and maintaining kindness can't succeed!
Argued with him a few times and nothing changed. He even went so far as to say that "the whole world is controlled by conspirators, and we are just cattle and sheep in captivity." ”
For a long time, I couldn't figure out why he was such an extreme view. Recently, I have been reading "Deep Relationship" by Wu Zhihong, a teacher of psychology, and I have a little understanding.
It turns out that there is a saying in psychology called "success conspiracy theory".
It is that they think that the success of successful people is the result of conspiracy and planning, and they are all cheated.
What's the benefit of thinking like this?
It's too difficult to succeed, and if you can't succeed, you'll overshoot your own almighty narcissism.
So they invented the logic of the guilt theory of the successful, namely:
All conspiracies and strength are because of conspiracy;
The conspirators are controlling the world, even my ordinary life.
Although the conspirators are capable, they are all evil spirits and devils;
Although I didn't succeed, I always remained kind.
That explains why I didn't succeed. Because I don't want to be a bad person.
Although I can't have a sense of superiority in my career, I can occupy the moral high ground, and I have a sense of superiority more than you in morality.
Whoever is weak is reasonable, and whoever is poor is kind; Whoever is strong is black-hearted, and who is rich and who is unkind.
In their logic, good people cannot succeed, and their hearts can only succeed when their hearts become black.
Here comes the problem again.
Only when the heart becomes black can we succeed", do unsuccessful people who hold this "belief" still dare to do their best to succeed?
Six or seven years have passed anyway, and this former colleague of mine still believes in the "success conspiracy theory".
His career is still very unsuccessful. But what's interesting is that every time he talks about successful people, he almost always mocks them.
Recognize the success of successful people, but look down on the character of successful people and their means of success.
Yes, he has never succeeded, and he has always had a very strong sense of character superiority.
Can good people succeed? I believe that people who remain kind can also succeed!
So how can we achieve better and more lasting success?
Teacher Wu Zhihong talked about his views and experiences in "Deep Relationship".
In 2008, Mr. Wu Zhihong came to an important realization:
Both profit and so-called success are by-products of my professional competence, so the most important thing is to continue to improve my professional competence. In that case, success and profit will continue to flow naturally. ”
For Ms. Wu Zhihong, there are three points of professional competence – psychological counseling, writing and thinking.
Since then, Mr. Wu Zhihong is no longer obsessed with success, but continues to improve his professional ability.
Sure enough, with the improvement of Mr. Wu Zhihong's professional ability, his interests and successes have also been accumulated, and sometimes they will show a trend of growth.
A company has value and valuation in the market.
Value is the cause, valuation is the effect. Effects change with the change of cause.
In the short term, valuations are likely to outweigh value; But in the long run, if the value does not rise, no matter how high the valuation is, it will be pulled to a position that is almost equal to the value.
On the contrary, when the value rises first, even if the valuation is much less than the value for the time being. Over time, the valuation will also be raised to a position that is almost equal to the value.
This is true for companies, and it is also true for people.
Value is the core professional competence of each of us, and valuation is the benefit and success we can obtain in society.
People want to continue and win more and more benefits and success.
The best strategy is to desperately improve your core professional capabilities.
Do not suffer from no position, suffer from no reason to stand; Don't suffer from self-knowledge, seek to be knowable.
Don't worry about not having much profit and success for the time being, when we really raise our value to a very strong state.
Sooner or later, the benefits and success of our value will surely come to us.
Always keep in mind that both profit and success are by-products of our increased expertise. When professional competence is continuously improved, the benefits and success will naturally increase.
But do good deeds, don't ask about the future. Don't be obsessed with the future, when you do things well, a good future will naturally come to us.
What should we do after understanding the relationship between professional competence and success?
First of all, we must think clearly about what the core competencies we want to focus on building and improving in the next ten years.
For Mr. Wu Zhihong, his core professional skills that he has improved and refined for a long time are: psychological counseling, writing and thinking.
I have recently figured out that the core professional competencies that I will focus on improving and refining in the next ten years are: high-quality input, high-quality thinking, and high-quality output.
You can see that the core professional competencies that you will spend ten years refining must meet: the more proficient, the more competitive. The older you are, the more popular you are.
Finally, if you want to succeed faster, you have to fall in love with your expertise or put in as much effort as anyone else.
Loving what you do is the most open and correct shortcut and secret to success.
But it's too hard to find your passion. Since I can't find or can't do the career I love for the time being.
Then do your best to fall in love with what you're doing.
Positive feedback and a sense of accomplishment are the biggest secrets to addiction to one thing.
When you do your best to do your current career, you will inevitably get continuous positive feedback and a sense of accomplishment.
In this way, there is a good chance that you will also fall in love with what you are doing at the moment.
The focus now is on what kind of effort is the best effort?
Your conscious and subconscious minds have to work extremely hard and deeply into what you want to do.
Subconsciously, very hard work means that you will be in your dreams, and even in the process, you will be able to think of inspiration to do things further and improve.
If you don't go crazy, you can't live, and if ordinary people want to change their lives as soon as possible, you have to be as devoted, obsessed, and hard-working as crazy and bigoted!
And even for this, you can have no socializing, no sex!
