I bought Tesla Edamame two years ago, and now I would like to share my experience with the car, completely from the perspective of users, without talking about any boring data. First of all, let's talk about the advantages:
The first advantage is that the driving feeling is very good, which can be summed up in two words: "easy to drive". The steering wheel is just the right size, the grip is excellent, and the pointing is precise. The response of the electric gate is also very sensitive, and the feeling of heel is very smooth. This is not common compared to other electric vehicles, and some trams have dull electric doors, which is one of the reasons why some people get motion sickness while driving the tram.
The second point is that the space is large, which means that it has a very high space utilization. Take the future ES6 as a comparison, the overall size of the ES6 is larger than the Tesla Edamame Y, but the actual interior space is not as good as the Model Y, especially the central control area. The Model Y is cleverly designed, with the center console completely hollowed out, two wireless charging pads and a large storage compartment, and two cup holders to make the most of it.
The third point is that the operation of the central control is very responsive and very smooth, and the menu settings are simple and clear. Unlike some cars, you have to flip through the menu for half a day to find a function. In addition, Tesla's center control screen starts up the moment you unlock the car, so you don't have to wait, which is a great seamless experience.
The fourth point is OTA upgrades. Tesla should be the first to introduce OTA upgrades, which can realize remote installation and configuration changes, etc., without going to a 4S store, which was unimaginable in the past.
The last advantage is the perfection of the supercharging network. Many car companies have adopted Tesla's charging interface standard, because Tesla's charging network is very complete, with a low failure rate, fast speed, high reliability, and is not easy to be occupied.
Let's talk about some of the disadvantages:
The first disadvantage is that it is more difficult to make a U-turn, probably because the front trunk is too deep and too large, and the angle of the front wheel cannot be turned too much, resulting in a more difficult U-turn.
The second point is that the paint is relatively thin, and it was found that a lot of paint fell off soon after driving.
The third disadvantage is that the voice system performs poorly, and there is a big gap compared with some mainstream models in China, resulting in little use.
The last disadvantage is that the chassis is hard, and the vehicle will vibrate significantly when crossing the seams of the road, especially when driving at high speeds, the experience is poor. Sound insulation is also average at high speeds.
Overall, the Tesla Edamame Y performed impeccable in urban driving and at low speeds. Combined with its price and product power, Tesla Model Y is a cost-effective new energy model in China. What do you think?
