On March 3, the first and third standard asphalt test sections of Yuanchen Expressway were successfully paved, taking a solid step towards the goal of opening to traffic.
The paving length of the upper test section of the first standard of Yuanchen Expressway is 300m, and 4cm fine-grained asphalt concrete (AC-13C) is used, and the paving material is 330 tons. In the paving process, 1 asphalt paver, 3 tandem vibratory rollers, 4 rubber-tyred rollers, and 1 small tandem vibratory roller were used for combined rolling. The initial pressure of the asphalt mixture follows the paver and maintains a short initial pressure length to compact the surface as quickly as possible and reduce heat loss.
In order to ensure the success of the paving of the test section of the asphalt upper layer, before paving, the project department conducted technical discussions and disclosures for many times, clarified the key points of quality and process, and carefully organized relevant personnel to carry out scientific and meticulous safety technical disclosure. During construction, the rolling is carried out in accordance with the construction method of "static first and then vibration, slow and then fast, high frequency and low amplitude, and followed by slow pressure", strictly control the appearance, arrival, paving and rolling temperature of the mixture, and monitor the thickness of the on-site paving, the number of rolling times and the rolling speed at all times, so as to achieve construction quality, construction safety and controllability. After the completion of the construction of the test section, the director's office and the central laboratory tested the site, and agreed that the appearance effect of the upper layer of the asphalt pavement and the technical indicators of the finished pavement have reached the expected effect, and the construction of the upper layer of asphalt will be carried out in a large area in the future.
It is understood that the smooth paving of the test section marks that the project will officially enter the upper construction stage, and the project department will continue to sound the horn of struggle and make the final sprint to achieve the scheduled opening goal.
The reporter learned that the Yuanchen Expressway project starts from Shuxikou, Pangu Township, Yuanling County, connects Changde to Jishou Expressway, goes south through Changpo, Chuanxi, Tianwan, Chengdong and Shibi in Chenxi County, and ends at Muqiao River, Huomachong Town, Chenxi County, and connects with Huaihua Expressway from Lipu to Huaihua, with a total length of 50489km。The main line adopts the standard construction of four-lane expressway, the design speed is 100km h, the roadbed width is 26m, the asphalt concrete pavement, and the bridge and culvert design vehicle load level adopts highway-I grade.
The estimated investment of the project is 703.6 billion yuan, the construction period is 3 years, and it is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in 2024. The whole line is set up Shuxikou (hub), Luxi East, Xiaoping, Chenxi, Huomachong and Chenxi South (hub) 6 interchanges, 4 ramp toll stations, 1 bridge and tunnel monitoring station, 1 maintenance work area, 1 road administration base, 1 high-speed traffic police base, and 1 service area. The construction of the project is of great significance to improve the transportation conditions in Huaihua and Xiangxi, meet the rapid growth demand of transportation, improve the regional emergency response capacity, and promote the development of regional resources and the coordinated development of economy and society.
