The Kobold DTK rotary vane flowmeter is designed for the high-volume OEM market. The compact Pelton wheel design does not require inlet or outlet straight pipe sections, allowing the unit to be installed in locations where space is very limited. It has a very simple design. A nozzle built into the inlet fitting directs the flow into an impeller with an embedded permanent magnet. The liquid flow causes the impeller to rotate, which is detected by a Hall-effect sensor. Each time a magnet passes through, the sensor generates a pulse with a pulse frequency proportional to the flow rate. The Pelton wheel design provides a highly repeatable linear output. The DTK comes standard with a stainless steel metal body and can be used with a wide range of compatible water-based liquids. The simple and reliable design of the DTK makes it an economical choice for many applications.
