Hello everyone!I am Professor Ma Zi, an oncologist, and chemotherapy is not recommended for the following four conditions.
1.We need to pay attention to the stage of the tumor. If the stage is early, in an early stage, surgery may be the way to remove the tumor completely. There are no problems with metastasis, lymph node invasion, or distant organs after surgery, and chemotherapy is not required after surgery.
2.For those with abnormal visceral function, we need to be careful in the selection of chemotherapy drugs. Chemotherapy drugs are toxic and can produce a variety of toxin reactions when they enter the body, such as general fatigue, decreased bone marrow hematopoietic function, impaired liver function, and cardiotoxicity. These reactions may lead to exacerbation of the underlying disease, so caution is warranted when considering chemotherapy.
3.Sensitivity to chemotherapy is also a concern. Some tumors are highly sensitive to chemotherapy and should be actively recommended in this case. However, some tumors are less sensitive to chemotherapy or even less sensitive. Chemotherapy is not recommended for such patients because chemotherapy may not be effective in killing tumor cells and may even stimulate cancer cell proliferation. Therefore, when deciding on a chemotherapy regimen, it is necessary to consider the patient's stage, visceral function, and chemotherapy sensitivity.
4.If you are in poor health, are elderly, and have many underlying diseases, even if chemotherapy is sensitive, it may damage the body's functions, and a clinical doctor needs to evaluate whether to use chemotherapy.
Whether chemotherapy is needed or not. It needs to be evaluated by the clinical doctor, and after the evaluation, it is decided whether he can receive chemotherapy or not, and whether the patient can get chemotherapy after chemotherapy, such as the prolongation of survival, or the improvement of the quality of life, whether there is any benefit. After the evaluation of the clinical doctor, we will make a decision.
I'm Dr. Ma Zi, an oncologist and if you're willing to make me a doctor friend, I'll do my best to help. On the road to fighting cancer, let's work together to improve the quality of life!
