On Thursday (December 21), Turkish Communications Agency Director Fakhretin Don said that Turkey will continue to be an ally, an economic player, and a center of attraction, and play an important role as a global actor in crisis resolution.
Speaking at the Public Diplomacy Coordination Committee held at the government, Arton said that Turkey's Recep Tayyip Erdogan has made great efforts to make public diplomacy and strategic communication one of the country's main strategic approaches, making major initiatives possible.
He stressed the importance of the Coordination Committee, noting that it was an umbrella organization that aimed to institutionalize public diplomacy activities and be able to effectively implement them at the national level.
He said that the goal of public diplomacy is to strengthen the Turkish brand, strive to provide accurate and effective information, communicate strategically, and maximize the potential of Turkey's intellectual power.
Arton stressed that conveying Turkey's views on international and regional issues, especially those involving Turkey's interests, in a clear and transparent manner contributes to global peace and stability.
Turkey as a global actor
At the end of the meeting, Arton said that working with public diplomacy is the way to improve the quality of work.
He said that Turkey has strong capabilities in the international arena and public diplomacy, stressing the need for more efforts and cooperation to further advance and develop this potential.
"Turkey is located in a region full of crises and opportunities," Alton stressed. The crises that have taken place around us since 2020 and around the world have clearly demonstrated the importance of Turkey to the world. Despite all the challenges and severe tests, Turkey continues to move forward with the right economic steps. At this point, Turkey's journey as an ally, economic actor, and center of attraction continues. On the other hand, as our diplomatic leadership drives the resolution of the crisis, Turkey, as a global actor, is asserting its presence through effective mediation. ”
