The reporter learned from the district forestry station that a recreational woodland located in Dagang Village, Xiaokunshan Town, has recently been completed and opened, which can meet the fitness and leisure needs of surrounding residents.
The total area of the woodland is about 160 acres, with Lujia Highway in the north, Guputang in the south, and Dagang No. 6 River in the east. It is late autumn, walking into the woodland, what catches your eye is the emerald green camphor, the golden soapberry, the brown and red metasequoia, many citizens are walking on the neat trails, or walking the dog, or accompanying the children to play, constituting a beautiful picture of harmony between man and nature. "Lately I've been coming here every day for a walk at noon and in the evening, and sometimes in the morning for a run." Zhang Xiang, a citizen, told reporters that the fresh air and quiet environment in the woodland are the best choice for her to exercise and leisure every day.
The reporter learned that from 2000 to 2010, the plot was used as a town-level landfill, and then after a series of measures such as sealing, covering and leveling, it gradually formed its current appearance. According to reports, in the process of forest land construction, the district forestry station retained the original gravel pavement and road trend in the woodland, built a new blue asphalt trail, and added landscape flower stands, finished seats and design seats at the main nodes to better meet the needs of citizens for leisure and fitness.
