We live in an elderly couple in Beiyuan Senior Apartment, 88-year-old Grandma Chen and 92-year-old Grandpa Xin. Hearing these words from the family members, I also felt the same and choked up a little, but no one thought that the dream of the family members would become a reality.

We often encouraged grandma, saying that grandma is fine, we can definitely stand up before the Chinese New Year, but we didn't expect that after 2 months, she really stood up, and we were also surprised;Then we continued to cheer for grandma, saying that grandma would definitely be able to stand and walk on her own at the end of the year, and grandma was now not only really able to walk, but also removed the stomach tube and urinary tube. Perhaps this is what we often call the mission and sense of value of caring for the elderly - to let a paralyzed person regain hope in life, and let a family that is almost collapsed see the joy of life.
Grandma's son said: "The two elderly people are 170 years old, one is paralyzed in bed, and the other has severe anxiety in addition to cardiovascular disease and high blood pressure. Two elderly people fell ill at the same time, and our family almost collapsed. Looking at the changes in Grandpa Xin, I also feel sincerely grateful. When Grandpa first arrived, he was very anxious for a long time, we never saw him smile, and even when we taught him to laugh, he wouldn't. We take grandpa to play every day to make him happy, and he speaks with a strong accent, so we learn from grandpa to speak. On the other hand, seeing that grandma is getting better day by day, grandpa's heart knot is gradually opened. As soon as we call him Lao Xin now, he will be happy. I feel that everyone's life is limited, but if the happiness of the elders is enhanced because of our care, or if the elders are healthier and live longer, I feel very valuable.
Grandpa Sin's son comes to our senior living apartment every day to accompany his father and mother, and they watch what we do every day. My grandmother had Alzheimer's disease and was hard of hearing, so I would communicate with her through writing and gesturing to make her happy. After a month, because of the nutrition and the recovery of my grandmother's physical ability, she was allowed to sit in a wheelchair to participate in normal activities, doing exercises in the morning and doing handicrafts in the afternoon. By participating in group activities and getting in touch with some new things, grandma's overall thinking ability has also improved. Now my grandmother has removed the nasogastric tube and has grown to more than 70 pounds, and even some of my grandmother's white hair has turned black. From the initial semi-coma to being awake but refusing to communicate, and then to today's talkative, her weight has risen from 60 pounds to more than 70 pounds, which is too rare for the 97-year-old white grandmother.
Grandma is old, her digestion and absorption ability is poor, and she may not be able to absorb half a bowl of rice if she eats it, so the current progress is really a miracle for grandma. Not only that, but my grandmother's appetite has also changed now, and as soon as I see my grandmother eating, I quickly stuff it into my mouth, which is very cute, and I am very happy to see the changes in my grandmother.
Elders like Grandma Bai, Grandma Chen, and Grandpa Xin, I have met a lot in Chunxuanmao, and it is the gratifying changes of these elders and the smiles on their faces that make me like this job that can be regarded as a "career"!In the more than three years of Tsubaki Xuanmao, I have tried to make myself more and more professional, careful, sincere and positive, and I have been doing ward rounds with doctors and ** every morning, and communicating with colleagues about what the elders need and what to take care ofIn addition, which elders have special needs to deal with doctors and family members in a timely manner, pay attention to the diet of the elders, and some details of daily life.
