The refrigerator is an essential appliance in the home, and people usually think that everything will be fine when you put it in the refrigerator, and it will not be too polluting and spoiling. In fact, Listeria monocytogenes (referred to as "Listeria monocytogenes"), Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus can all grow and multiply in a low temperature environment to reach the number of pathogenic bacteria. Today, Zhang Hongzhi and Ge Yilin from the Shanghai Center for Disease Control and Prevention will explain how to use the refrigerator safely.
Three points for safe use.
In order to ensure food safety and human health, the use of refrigerators needs to be scientifically stored, eaten safely, and cleaned regularly.
Scientific storage. 1.Raw and cooked foods should be kept separate, and it is best to store the food in containers with lids or wrap them in plastic wrap to prevent cross-contamination.
2.Master the time for food storage in the refrigerator, meat products should not exceed 2 days, and fruits and vegetables should not exceed 5 days.
Safe to eat. 1.Food that has been stored in the refrigerator is best heated thoroughly before eating, and the core temperature should reach 70, and it should not be eaten slightly hot.
2.Pregnant women and immunocompromised people should avoid undercooked food.
Wash regularly. Studies have shown that cleaning can significantly reduce the number of bacteria and fungi in the refrigerator.
How to deal with contamination.
What should I do when the food in the refrigerator is contaminated with pathogenic bacteria or has severe contamination?
Step 1: Throw away the food.
Pack and seal contaminated food and other food that comes into contact with it, throw it away, and wash the food container with hot or soapy water.
Step 2: Empty the refrigerator.
Remove other items from the refrigerator and removable parts, and leave the food outside for no more than 2 hours.
Step 3: Clean the movable parts inside the refrigerator.
Wash the parts removed from the refrigerator with hot or soapy water and wipe them clean with a clean towel. Be careful not to put the glass parts directly into hot water to avoid bursting, and wait for the temperature to return to room temperature before washing with hot water.
Step 4: Clean and disinfect the inside of the refrigerator.
Observe the inside of the refrigerator for frost and if there is, defrost it before cleaning. Clean the inside of the refrigerator with hot or soapy water, and wipe off the soapy water with clean water, pay special attention to wipe the refrigerator door, seals and other parts that cannot be moved, and disinfect the outside of the refrigerator, including the door handle, to avoid cross-contamination.
After cleaning and wiping, disinfect with disinfectant. Hypochlorous acid disinfectant, 84 disinfectant, 75% alcohol, etc. are usually used to wipe and disinfect, and operate according to the product instructions when using. Scrub and dry with clean water, then put the removed food, movable parts, etc. back in the refrigerator.
Note that when disinfecting with disinfectant, users must wear gloves and take good precautions.
