Recommend a vivid and vivid theme education textbook, "Footprints - Memoirs of Wang Songtang". There may be many cadres around us who have come to the aid of Xinjiang and Tibet, but it is indeed rare for us to be able to help Xinjiang first and then Tibet, and to dedicate their precious youth to the most difficult areas of Xinjiang and Tibet before they have completed their high school studies. He is Wang Songtang, an eighty-year-old veteran party member.
In 1945, Wang Songtang, who was born in a revolutionary family in rural Shanxi Province, received excellent family education since he was a child. However, in 1964, 19-year-old Wang Songtang resolutely gave up the opportunity to go to university to persuade his family, actively responded to the country's call to support the construction of the frontier, and devoted himself to the work in Xinjiang without hesitation. Six years later, in 1970, at the age of 25, he stepped forward again and took the initiative to sign up for a more difficult ** Ali work, and silently dedicated himself for a full decade.
While working in the Taxation Bureau of the Xinjiang Department of Finance, Wang Songtang became an active member of the Autonomous Region's direct customs study and Xi work. In 1970, he decided to hand over Ali to Xinjiang as an escrow, he actively responded to the party's call, bid farewell to Xinjiang and came to Xinjiang, and was assigned to Ali as an accountant in the comprehensive material warehouse. In the face of the natural environment of high cold, lack of oxygen and harsh climate, he adapted to the local conditions with amazing perseverance, and even cleared the wasteland, planted vegetables, and collected cow dung to solve the problem of food and clothing for himself and his comrades.
At the end of his 10-year career in aiding Tibet, he successfully completed the mission of aiding Tibet and returned to Xinjiang. However, he did not rest complacent, but continued to fight in his new position. After retiring, he not only learned Xi literature, calligraphy, poetry, computer and other courses, but also actively participated in public welfare activities, donated money and materials, established the "Shijiazhuang Love Commune" and raised nearly 10,000 yuan to give a love to those in need. His acts of kindness set an example for the community.
Wang Songtang also actively studied Xi, and with the help of the reporter of "Yanzhao Elderly Daily", he found Zhao Dachang, the leader who used to work in Xinjiang, and this reunion made him feel a lot of emotion. In order to pass on his experience of helping the border and public welfare deeds, he spent three years compiling a memoir called "Footprints", recording his precious years, and compiling this life full of dedication and responsibility into a 287-page book.
The book is divided into three parts: "Xinjiang Tibet Will Be Unforgettable", "Dedication in Action", and "Retirement is Healthier", vividly showing the growth process and wonderful life of a border aid worker after retirement. In this book, Wang Songtang is like an ordinary old party member, using his own personal experience to interpret the feelings of the family and country that does not change his original intention and is promising. His story is a microcosm of the construction of New China, and it is also a living teaching material for deepening theme education.
