The Fifth National Economic Census is the first "comprehensive physical examination" and "centralized inventory" of the national economy after the victory of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, which is of important and far-reaching significance for comprehensively understanding the economic development status of China, accurately grasping the high-quality development process in the new era, and promoting the comprehensive construction of a modern socialist country to get off to a good start.
**Kang Yi, deputy head of the leading group for the fifth national economic census and director of the National Bureau of Statistics, said that the on-site registration for the fifth national economic census will be officially launched on January 1, 2024, and hopes that every census worker will adhere to the scientific census and census in accordance with the law, complete the census data collection and review tasks with high quality, and ensure the authenticity and accuracy of the census data. It is hoped that the vast number of census subjects will open their doors to the census, conscientiously cooperate with the census, truthfully declare the contents of the census, and fulfill their responsibilities and obligations in accordance with the law. The launching ceremony reviewed the history of economic census, popularized economic census knowledge, and answered census questions of public concern through first-class display, on-site narration, and sitcom interpretation. Representatives of the enumerators took the oath.
