Successfully completed and opened to traffic.

Wanhuan West Road Project is a key project of "attacking the city and pulling out the village" in Guangzhou, located in the core area of the Bay Area, Wanqingsha plate, south of Nansha Port Area, Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel, Nanzhong Expressway, north to Dongxin Expressway, Nansha Port Expressway, for strengthening Nansha's status as a transportation hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

China Railway 17th Bureau undertook the construction of the southern extension project of Wanhuan West Road, which starts from Wanhuan West Road and ends at a level crossing with the seawall at the southern end, including the construction tasks of 5 bridges and 6 sections of roads. After the completion of the road, it will be interconnected with the South-Central Expressway and the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor in the future, providing transportation infrastructure support for the high-quality development of Nansha New Area.

Coordinated construction, high quality and high efficiency

The project is co-linear with the Nanzhong Expressway, and the minimum clearance distance is only 51 meter, coupled with the soft ground ground geological conditions, has a negative impact on the construction of pipe piles and mixing piles. The project strengthened communication and liaison, jointly optimized the construction plan with the Nanzhong Expressway project, implemented alternating construction, modified tooling and equipment, and made every effort to reduce the impact of cross operations.

Through advance planning, scientific organization, strict implementation of the assessment system, and keeping an eye on the details of project safety and quality, the project has overcome problems such as typhoon disturbance and relocation obstacles, and completed the construction task with high quality and efficiency, which has been highly praised by the first and the owner.

Take multiple measures at the same time to overcome problems

Part of the roadbed of the line passes through the Nansha wetland, and the average thickness of the foundation silt layer is 35 meters. In order to prevent the occurrence of large settlement and instability of the roadbed, the project took the initiative to connect with the owner and the design unit, adjusted the construction plan in combination with the actual situation, and successfully broke through the difficulties of soft soil foundation treatment by optimizing the construction method and improving the process on the basis of doing a good job in the displacement monitoring and force impact analysis of the pile foundation.

During the construction, the project strictly implements the "three inspections" system, adopts the dual control method of pipe pile construction, and accurately controls the number of hammer collections, the length of pipe piles and the quality of process links. Before filling the large section of the roadbed, the technical team adopted the composite structure of "cement mixing pile + plastic drainage board" and "pipe pile + pallet" to play a "combination punch" of foundation reinforcement to escort the highway through the wetland area smoothly.

The total length of the 19th Chung Bridge is 89479 meters, for the whole line of key control projects. The bridge spans the Nansha Wetland Park, a mangrove plant community and bird habitat, with 1 species of national first-class key protected animals and 16 species of second-class key protected animals in the area, with extremely strict ecological and environmental protection requirements.

In order to practice the concept of "Two Mountains" and protect the ecology of the station, the project strictly controls the temporary land, formulates an environmental protection construction management system and an inspection mechanism for environmental protection commissioners, and actively organizes volunteers to carry out the "regreening action" to create a green landscape along the road that is harmoniously integrated with the natural environment, highlighting the ecological beauty of "quality construction".
