Sun Liren, born in 1900 in Lujiang County, Anhui Province, is a scholarly family, because of the good family conditions, and is very motivated to read. So, in 1914He was admitted to the Department of Civil Engineering of Tsinghua University in Beijing with the first place in Anhui Province.
As the top student in the college entrance examination at that time, Sun Liren not only had a smart brain, but also a strong physique.
According to the literature, Sun Liren is very fond of sports, and once participated in the 3rd Far Eastern Games, flying as fast as he was on the basketball court, and was called General Fei.
During this period, he defeated the Japanese team in the final and won the championship, becoming the idol of Tsinghua students at that time. The newspapers of the time even commented:China threw the sick man of East Asia into the Pacific Ocean on the basketball court.
It was in this legendary experience that Sun Liren graduated from Tsinghua University in 1923 and then went to the United States to study. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University, and then went on to join the Virginia Military Academy.
