Some time ago, there was a statistic that shocked me:
In 2022, the number of Chinese residents participating in medical insurance will decrease by more than 25 million.
This is really surprising, social security, this is the biggest benefit given by the state, why don't you pay it?
I took a closer look at the data, and the number of employees participating in medical insurance is still growing, with an increase of 8 million, but the 25 million people who have decreased are withdrawn from resident medical insurance.
This is very rare, and it hasn't happened in the last few years.
In fact, compared with others, resident medical insurance should be considered very cheap, now about 380 yuan a year for 1 person, and most of it is subsidized.
Although the guarantee is not as strong as the employee medical insurance, if you are really sick, you can still be reimbursed for some medical expenses.
Why is there a huge drop in the number of insured people for such a good thing? The official did not give any explanation, but the possible reasons for this, let's talk about it by the way today.
The medical insurance for urban and rural residents is different from the medical insurance paid by the unit after work, and it is more of a choice for flexible employment groups and village and town residents.
Urban residents are required to pay medical insurance for urban residents, and rural residents are paid to the New Rural Cooperative Medical System, which are collectively referred to as urban and rural residents' medical insurance.
Medical insurance for urban and rural residents is a policy that benefits the people, and it was originally for the people, but as a result, everyone seems to be "not buying it" now, and the decline of 25 million people a year is too great.
Reason, my personal guess:
On the one hand, there are natural reasons, such as after the unification of the national medical insurance information system, some duplicate insured residents have been eliminated, and some insured people have begun to pay employee medical insurance due to graduation and employment.
On the other hand, I don't want to admit it, but it may indeed be because the cost of resident medical insurance has become more expensive, the protection is relatively basic, and the reimbursement ratio is not high, which is not as "affordable" as in the past.
For example, in 2006, when it was still called NCMS, the premium was 10 yuan a year, which was quite cheap, even if the premium for a family of 6 added up to only 60 yuan. But soon the premium opened the ** mode, and last year it reached 380 yuan per person-year, which was 38 times that of the original.
Moreover, 380 yuan per person year is only the minimum payment standard stipulated by the state, and the premiums in some provinces and cities are higher, and the medical insurance for urban residents is also higher.
If it is a family of 2 adults + 4 elderly people + 2 children, about 3,000 yuan a year, it will be higher in some areas, which is actually a large expense.
Of course, it is not excluded that some people rarely get sick, think that diseases and accidents will never happen to them, have not been reimbursed, feel useless, and simply give up.
My personal opinion on urban and rural residents' insurance has not changed:
For the elderly, children, flexible employees who have not participated in employee medical insurance, and people whose economic conditions are really not very good, resident medical insurance is already the easiest and cheapest medical insurance to buy.
Don't feel that if you don't get sick, the money will be in vain. When the disease does not occur, the probability is 0%, once it happens, the probability is 100%, especially for serious diseases, the money spent is really a lot, there is resident medical insurance, tens of thousands of medical expenses are reimbursed by 30%-50%, and the burden can also be reduced.
Before, a relative at home was hospitalized with cancer**, and the resident medical insurance was used, although the reimbursement was limited, but in the whole process, tens of thousands of yuan were also reimbursed, which was still useful.
At the end of the day, participating in medical insurance is not to use it, but to hope that it is best not to use it, and it can be of great help when you really need to use it.
It is often more difficult for the average family to afford the high costs of accidents and serious illnesses.
It is still good to pay hundreds of yuan a year for medical insurance expenses, and at a critical time, you can get tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of expenses to compensate and pass on the risk.
However, I sincerely hope that each of us can be healthy, safe and well-being, and live a happy life.
